It was always a dream.
It was a scary one but one that felt so true and so real that every time he woke up, he cried some more.
It was only just a dream because Sky knew that Prapai would not leave. It was a dream that haunted him every second of the day. It was a dream that appeared and then left but left a scar so deep that it wounded Sky' heart, making him believe and think that he would end up alone.
It was just a dream.

It was a dream, but a nightmare, that he thought came true but then he woke up screaming his lungs out, and right there next to him was Prapai, already awake to comfort him.

"Baby, it's okay, it's just a dream, I'm here, Sky." Sky then followed the voice and snuggled into the arms that were already waiting for him to snuggle. Prapai knew Sky off by heart, he knew Sky' hates and likes, but most of all he knew how to comfort Sky whenever he needed it the most.
Prapai was always there until he wasn't.
Until one night Sky was alone, from the moment he fell asleep, to the very moment he woke up crying, screaming, and panicking all at once.
Prapai hadn't been home because his mum got ill so Prapai went back home to see her in case her illness worsened, Prapai' mum also asked for Prapai to be there with her seeing that he was her oldest son.
Sky said it was okay, he needed to see his mother and so Prapai left that morning when he got a call from his mum. Today would be the first time Sky would fall asleep alone in so long because he always fell asleep with Prapai next to him.
When Prapai left that morning, he gave kisses and hugs and all the love he could because Prapai had no idea how long he would be at his mother's. Prapai also knew that later tonight would be harsh on Sky because the nightmares always came back.
Sky had been settled in bed after a call with Prapai 5 minutes ago because Prapai wanted Sky to know he made it to his mum's safe and sound, but also to say goodnight to his love Sky, and then Sky slowly fell asleep.
During the night, Sky tossed and turned, feeling uncomfortable in the spacious yet half-empty bed. Restlessness had settled in, causing Sky to experience a vivid nightmare, a dream that was always there, that never left but always appeared and out of all nights Prapai was nowhere to be seen or heard, Sky had to do this one alone, except he couldn't do it without the comfort of Prapai.
