I'm just about done braiding my locs to the back, and I'm already dressed to go. Jey should be here any minute and my heart is pounding in my chest. This is our first time hanging out with each other, and I pray to god that I don't make an ass out of myself.

"You got this Mals, just relax." Looking myself in the mirror, "Just let everything flow."

I heard a knock at the door.

"Shit." so whispered, "Okay. Remember, FLOW."
I walked to the door and swing it open. Taking in Jey as he stands there rubbing his hands together, with his all black everything outfit with a black snapback.

My ovaries

"Hey Jey." I said smiling, stepping aside to invite him in the house. "Come in!"

"Hey mama, you ready to go?"

"Yes, let me grab my purse and I'm good to go." I went to go grab my purse while Jey takes a look around my living room. I quickly looked in the mirror to make sure everything was together, don't have time for no malfunctions.

"I like your house, it's very cozy and warm." He said, still looking around and looking at family pictures I have frame around the house. "Who are they?" He  asked me when I walk back into the living room.
"Those are my two nephews, Ian & Joshua." I said, looking at him smiling.

"Yeet, name twin!" He said, turning to me smiling giving me all his attention. "What? I don't get no hug? Don't be boujee, now." He says, with his arms out waiting for me to embrace. 
"Boy, Shush up." Shaking my head, I sit my stuff down as I walk into his arm hugging him tightly.

Uh he smells tooo good.

"You look beautiful, Mals." He complements me with his signature smile- Shit he's wearing bottom grillz

I thanked him as I grabbed my purse and we headed out for the day.

As Im getting situated in the car after Jey closes my door, I buckle up and wait for him to get in the car and do the same.

"Okay, so where we going?!" I asked anxiously. Once he got in. I may have been shitting bricks in my bathroom about how the day would go, but I'm lowkey excited.

"Damn, ma don't care about how am I or nothing, she just get in the car and just start-" I interrupted him before he goes on and on.

I started smiling "Hi Jey, how are you on this beautiful day? Is it treating you nicely?" I asked in my softly sweet voice, playing along with his game.

He smiles at me. "It is treating me greatly exactly, thank you! How are you, beautiful? You good? He asked me while grabbing my hand and kisses it.

"I'm great, just present and riding out with you." I looked at him smiling.

He smiles at me and kisses at hand again and holds it with his as he drives with his left hand. Music surrounds us as we cruise through the streets.

"Sooooo where we going?" I asked again after a few minutes of silence.

"Girl, what happened to just riding with me?!"

"Alright, alright." I let it go. he wins, but I had to let him know he looked good...too good.

"You look good, by the way." I said sorta quietly. It was supposed to come out more confident, but as you know, I'm more bolder in my head.

"Say what?"

"Huh?"

"I didn't hear you, Mals." He smiled, looking at me then back at the road.
