During the final days before Halloween, I had attempted to roam about the house. I soon noticed that this was ill advised as every single male within the structure, pretty much everyone but me, was in a foul mood and tried to get within mere inches of me, wanting no doubt to tear my head off for my special treatment.

So I had remained in my room until the day of judgement. There was a creeping feeling within me that hinted that the world around us was shifted and the veil between the living and the dead was thin.

Master had assembled us all in the living room one last time. His outfit was changed into a Victorian style suit, complete with period shoes and cufflinks.

He had me wear my preferred outfit of black skinny jeans, t-shirt and leather jacket accompanied by my combat boots. For that I was grateful. I didn't want to fight in a dress.

When Master addressed us this time, his war speech, I stood amongst my vampiric siblings instead of by his side.

"My sons and daughter, now is our time. For hundreds of hears I have been searching for the perfect revenge to my dear love's demise at the jaws of these wolves. Generations of their own offspring now stand before me as my own to use as the perfect weapon against their poisonous ways. After tonight, we will all have what we have wished for. I will have my love back, you will all have the freedom of hunting as you wish, wherever you wish, however you wish. It is our time. You each have your orders. Do not forget them or the cost will be your lives. Stay focused."

He motioned to the doorway of the room and waited patiently as there was a blood bag handed to each of us.

"Feed my children. This is my own blood. It will connect me to you so I know if you are in danger and also will enhance your strength." None of the males around me hesitated for even a moment to dig in, their intensity rising with every gulp of the insanely strong blood. All of this must have been accumulated over many years seeing as there was no less than fifty brothers devouring their master's blood.

Although hunger was deep in me I held back and pretended to drink, trading it with a ravenous vampire near me with his empty bag. He did not ask questions and instead consumed it as well. I wiped some of the blood from the entrance of the bag on the corner of my lips and lifted my head, making my eyes glow red for Master to believe that I had drank.

Even his eyes were filled with hunger, Master's eyes flitting from one form to another as he watched us all drink. I was sure now that his blood would have clued him in to my deception.

The vibe of the room suddenly became psychotic as the vampires, now hyped up on elder blood, were practically vibrating with energy and ready to fight.

Master walked straight into the middle of all of us, his eyes finding my own and ordering me silently to follow by his side as he left the room and house, his intent clear.

It took all of us maybe thirty minutes under the light of the full moon to arrive at the high school football field. The pack was already there, Alpha Cole standing by James's side as well as the Alpha King himself. Members from not only the local pack but also from the neighboring ones as well were all present, taking up a huge portion of the grassy area. Gunther and Damien from Alpha Cole's pack were just behind him as well, the memories of the day we spent spraying down the pack houses coming to mind.

How long ago it seemed.

Master did not seemed phased at all by the three to one ratio happening here as there were many more wolves than vampires here at the moment. If he was planning to win by numbers he was already at a disadvantage.

We all hopped the fence and halted behind our master just outside of the field's bounds. My brothers were pushing each other out of the way to get to the wolves. Master must have put an order on them not to attack until he commanded.
