I had a few ideas the next evening in my head that I could do to make myself a true hybrid but I needed to get a few things first. And one was down right deadly if I messed up.
"Janine, where did you go yesterday?" I shrugged and sipped at my tea mixed with blood. Animal blood since master found out that I took one of the human blood bags from the fridge before I left the other night.
"I asked you a question Janine and I expect it to be answered." I looked sideways at him and huffed.
"I am not a dog you can just tell to sit. I will be treated like a lady should be treated. With respect and a bit of courtesy." He just narrowed his eyes at me as if trying to figure something out and shook his head of whatever it was.
"Fine. Did you have a good night then, m'lady?" I couldn't help the grin. As he was being a smartass I just knew I had to retaliate.
"Oh most certainly not sir. You see, this brutish man whom I call a master decided upon himself to make my life hell by not eating from a healthy diet. So now I waste away in my lonely tower awaiting a rescuer to ride in on a white horse and save me from this dreadful ass." I sipped at my tea once more with a giant grin on my face. I had never said such words to him before and I was sure that he was getting upset at my name calling. When I glanced up his eyes confirmed it.
"I am not brutish," he growled lowly. With a nonchalant shrug, I stood and started to make my way to my room. I didn't feel like dealing with him while I was trying to figure out what I was going to do about my blood and James.
With the force of a train I was slammed onto my bed, my cup flying and shattering across the room. Master pinned me to the bed and as I struggled, his fangs descended and started to draw dangerously close to my throat.
"Such an insolent creation I have made. I need to teach you manners when addressing not only your elders but also your master." He pushed my hair away from my neck and dove down to it, his fangs piercing me deeply. I cried out in pain before groaning in pleasure, the vampire part of me loving this.
He drank fast and deeply, the longer he kept drinking the more I started to see black. Just when I was about to black out from loss of blood he pulled away and looked strait into my eyes, his shining gloriously before mine.
"Remember your place Janine. I am your master and you will obey me. If you disrespect me again I will not hesitate to keep you at this point right here for a week. You won't be able to fall into the darkness but you also won't be able to move. If you understand, submit to me now and I will let you go." Weakly I turned my head to the side to show my freshly bloody neck. I couldn't think. I couldn't feel. I just was.
"Good girl," he whispered to me and climbed off of my form that was still unable to move. He grabbed my blanket and wiped my blood away from his lips before he simply set it down and walked out of the room.
I laid there for nearly two hours wishing I could move or feel but I was not able to and was left alone with my thoughts.
The biggest problem I had in my quest of becoming a hybrid was the man who made me this. Master wants me to stay as his fledgling for all eternity and bow to his ever wish but it isn't what I wanted for myself when I chose this.
As I started to gain feeling and able to slowly but sluggishly move my limbs the out that I needed dawned on me. There were many ways for a vampire to die. The sun... stake to the heart... decapitation... and werewolf saliva.
In a similar way that a vampire bite to a werewolf will make them sick and potentially die, it is also the same for vampires. One bite from either and the other will die.
Perhaps with the wolf blood within me, if I was to be bitten, it might activate my wolf blood. But the vampire blood will be a problem seeing as it will try to destroy the wolf blood once activated. I'd become a war zone of cells. Activating one while the other existed could destroy me inside and out.
Or I could become more.
When I finally sat up, I reached for a writing utensil and stood on shaky poles. The walls in here were clear so I didn't mind at all when I took the marker cap off and started to draw small symbols here and there and connect them with lines.
Before long it looked like a class of toddlers took to the wall with permanent markers but to me... it was a plan.
And one that I couldn't fail or else it will be my end.
I could be wrong, I could be right, or the worst could happen if I didn't think it through but I knew what I had to do and I didn't have long to execute it.
"Art class wasn't your strong suit I'm guessing?" Master made himself known at my door and I threw a glare over my shoulder to him.
"What do you want master?" I was careful to not use a tone with him but still managed to look pissed. He was the picture of indifference.
"I need you to check on Adam and make sure that he is doing well. Ben should be with him but something tells me that he might not be doing too good." This was news. I nodded to him and went to my things to change.
"I will check on him. Please leave to allow me privacy to change Master," I asked as I set the clothes I wanted on the bed. I spared a glance to the vampire to see a triumphant smile decorate his face as if he finally had what he wanted.
"Of course my Janine." Like a silent whisper he left. Left alone with my plan in mind, I put on a comfortable pair of black skinny jeans, a pair of black combat boots, a matching t-shirt and to complete the ensemble, a matching leather jacket. I looked like I stepped right out of an action film, but I had not only comfort in mind but convinence.
I threw some cash into my back pocket and glanced at the wall one last time before walking out, shouting behind me to master,
"Checking on Adam. Later Master!" I shouted and was out the door as he responded.
"Goodbye Janine."
