"Show me your thorns and I'll show you hands ready to bleed."

"—and he's killed someone!" I exclaimed while my friends listened to my story with shock all over their faces.
"That—That couldn't possibly be true. We all know Giulia, she's such a sweet woman and yes, often murderous, she can't actually kill anyone." Lola reasoned as I hugged my knees to my chest.
"But apparently her nephew has." Reina chimed in while I chewed on my lip nervously.
"He knows it was me." I mumbled as their heads turned to look at me once again.
"How can you be sure?" Sam asked, placing a hand on my shoulder when I shrugged.
"I just know it, Sam, he knows it was me in there. I— I repeated the same thing I told him in the booth and the way he looked at me— I just know it!" I said.
"You mean like he would eat you up? Devour you whole?" Lola asked with an eyebrow raised while I frowned.
"Yes, it was— unsettling. The way he looked at me like he— like he knew me." I spoke, shuddering at the strange feeling.
"You weren't any less creepy, Azzy. You looked like you would jump his bones then and there. In the church, might I add." Nikki said with a grin and my whole face flushed, remembering the dark, predatory look in his eyes.
"Everyone looked like they would jump his bones, Nik." Sam exclaimed.
"And she's blushing!" Reina squealed and we all covered our ears while I covered my face in embarrassment.
"Guys! Stop it, please!" I groaned while they laughed at me.
"I mean, he was hot though, Like, hotter than hell, hot." Lola and Sam agreed with Reina while I just shook my head.
"Might I remind you that he is a possible murderer?" I asked.
"What if he was playing a prank on you?" Nikki suddenly spoke while I looked at her confused.
"Maybe he knew you were pretending to be a priest and he spooked you a bit, you know, to teach you a lesson. Maybe he isn't actually a killer?" She shrugged and once I thought about it, it actually made sense.
"That is possible, Nikki could be right." Sam agreed.
"Yeah, I think so too. He might just be playing a joke on you. It was a good joke though, really had us concerned there for a second." Reina said and chuckled.
"Maybe." I muttered and we all talked a bit more before getting lunch for ourselves, although I couldn't get rid of the unsettling feeling the rest of day and even after.

"We missed you at lunch yesterday." Giulia told me when we had taken a small break from dancing.
