"Was I the one for him? Or was he the one for me?"

"Isaac asked me out

"Isaac asked me out." Lola blurted while we got ready to go to the movies, all of us stopping and turning to look at her.

"Isaac asked you out. Isaac Hudson." Sam repeated and Lola nodded, biting her lip before we all squealed together in excitement and jumped up and down, hugging our friend and congratulating her.

"So, how did he ask you out, exactly?" Nikki asked excitedly, her long, dark braids bouncing with her as she jumped.

"Well, I was out enjoying the view from the balcony in the lobby on the second floor and having a cup of coffee in the afternoon when he showed up. He was really nervous and it was absolutely adorable to see him blush." She gushed while we awed at her.

"That is so cute. My baby's all grown up!" Reina said, wiping a fake tear dramatically.

"And he asked me out, just like that! He wants to take me out for lunch this Wednesday." She squealed.

"Wednesday? That's in two days!" I said and she nodded happily.

"We're so happy for you Lo, you deserve a good man like Isaac." Nikki hugged her and we all joined in.

"Aw, you guys, you're gonna make me cry." Lola said and we all laughed.

"Seriously, Lola. You've been through so much, you deserve all the love in the world." I put my hand on her shoulder when she raised her eyebrows at me.

"Oh, really? Then I guess you deserve it too, seeing all the shit you've been through." She said but I only shook my head.

"Nope, today's about you, not me." I said and no one said anything after that, mostly because they knew how disturbed I was after meeting Harlan Marchetti today. That is, if that meeting was actually real.

So we dressed in our best and headed out to watch a movie and of course, we all dressed up according to the theme. A little cliché, I think, but where's the fun in not matching with your friends?

And that was the night I got my period.

Devastating, I know.

The problem with me was that when I got my period, sometimes it got absolutely horrible. The pain felt like I was being stabbed in the stomach continuously as I clutched it harder and winced, lying on the sofa.

I had already felt like something was about to happen when we were on our way back from the theatre, so I bought the necessary sanitary items that I needed before returning to the hotel.

The girls knew how bad my period pain could get because I nearly passed out once. They even offered to stay but I assured them I'd be fine.

That was probably not a very good idea because it felt like my world was ending. Literally.
