Chapter 15❤ "Avoiding"

Classes are suspended cuz of the rain. So yay! Here's an update!

*Dana's P.O.V*

Since the day Luke kissed me, its been awkward on my side. Luke looks like he's cool about it and like he totally forgot that mistake. That's one thing about him, he forgot easily. While me, I still cant remove it from my mind. That is why im acting so distant from him while he kept on coming to me.

Whenever im near him, I remember what happened and it makes me think that we betray Elliniese. That's why I want to be far from him. But sadly, luck isnt with me.

"Hey, can we eat lunch together?" He sits beside my chair.

"Sorry, I cant. I have to go to the library to review for a quiz in my next class. Im skipping lunch. Plus, I ate too much at breakfast. Sorry, Luke" I apologized.

"Oh. Okay. I Understand" he trailed off "I'll just tag along with my friends"

"Okay" I smiled at him. He then left the room while I pack my stuff.

Now I have to be stuck and pretend im reading at the library for forty five minutes. Boring.

Once I entered the library, I go to my usual spot. The one at the very back of the shelves and hid there. Thank God I packed my lunch. This place is perfect to eat this. Nobody will notice.

I started scanning my book. Its a good time to advance study so I can participate in the class.

This isnt a bad thing at all.

The class I was supposed to have a quiz on is already done. And next is music. Which reminds me, Luke is there!

What to do? What to do?

I bit my lip as I walk to the room.

I'll just go to class late then. Hoping that he's already there and the teacher. So I can sit anywhere far away from him.

I waited fifteen more minutes before entering the room.

"You're late Ms. Blues"

"I-im sorry, sir. Something came up. It'll never happen again. Im sorry" i apologized. D-mn! I embarassed my self just for a guy!

"Okay. Since its just your first time, I'll let you pass. You may now sit"

"Thank you, sir!" I smiled at him then I scan the room for a vacant chair.

"Dana! Over here!"

Sh-t. I did all of these for nothing.

I sat next to Luke. Which is the only chair that is vacant.

"Why are you late?" he asked.

"Uhm. My mom called. Yeah, she called" i lied.

"Oh. Why?"

"She uhm... she will come home late with dad?" i said. I hope he doesn't sense what im doing.

"Good thing then. Can I stay at your home for alittle while?" he smiled.

"No!" i exclaimed. "Uhm I mean, you cant. I need to study. Again. I really want to get a passing grade this semester"

"Ok then" he shrugged. "Can I atleast drive you home?"

"Sorry, but I already promised Ash and Georgina" that was true though.

"Tell me, Dana" he looked at me intently "Are you avoiding me? Because, I can quite feel it"

"You two, if you dont stop chatting, I'll have to kick you out of this class. You're disturbing us" the teacher said. We mumbled sorry..

Thank God, the teacher saved me from answering his question.

"You kissed?! Oh My Gosh!" Georgina squealed.

"Is that why you're avoiding him?" Ashton asked as he drive.

"Yeah"

I told them my problem. Almost every secret I have, I tell them. But, Georgina still didnt know that I have brain cancer. Its not that I dont trust her, I just want to keep it with me and Ash.

I felt bad doing that to Luke. I should say sorry, atleast.

'To: Luke

Im sorry for avoiding you. You did nothing wrong. Im really sorry.'

'From: Luke

Its okay. But why though?'

'To: Luke

I just felt awkward. After the uhm. Ya know. It made me think that im betraying Ell'

'From: Luke

Oh. Im sorry. You dont, dont worry. I was the one who made a move. Not you. Lets just call that a friendly kiss then? :)'

'To: Luke

Okay. Sure. Anyways. Ttyl. Gtg! bye :P'

Right when I put my phone back on my back, Ashton stopped the car infront of our house.

"Bye Ashton and Georgina! See you tomorrow! Thanks for the ride!" I hug them both before leaving the car and waved goodbye then they flew off.

I unlocked our house and enter it. I go straight to the kitchen to grab some water and something to eat. Then I immediately go up my room.

I peaked through my window to see Luke playing his guitar and singing. He's facing his back on me so he wont notice. I opened up my windows and let his voice enter my peaceful room.

I layed down on my bed while listening to his lovely voice. Its so soothing that it led me to sleep.

So, open your eyes

and see,

The way the horizons meet

And all of the lights will lead

Into the night with me..

I missed this. I miss the way he sang me to sleep.
