Chapter 43❤ "Decisions"

*Third Person's View*

After they rushed Dana to the nearest Hospital they waited outside the room while the doctors are examining Dana.

Her parents, Denver, Georgina, and Ashton sat there, praying with tears in their eyes. Hoping that nothing's going to happen to Dana.

When the doors opened and the doctor came out, they all stood up. Waiting for the doctor to say something.

"It got even worse. It seems that she's stressing herself alot" the doctor started. "And we found out that she's not taking medications anymore"

Dana's parents started crying. Her friends tried to comfort them.

"Im sorry to say but she's in stage four now"

"Is there any way to cure her? Can she still fight through this?" Ashton asked.

"There's one cure. An operation. But I cant promise that it will be successful. Its a 50/50 chance" the doctor replied "If you dont have any questions, i'll go now. If you want to talk to me, you can see me in my office" he said before leaving them there.

They saw the nurse transfer Dana in a private room. She's not awake yet. The nurses told them that she'll eventually wake up later.

They just stayed by Dana's side and waited for her to wake up.

Its been a week and Dana is still in the hospital. She's not getting any better, infact, she's getting worse.

Everyone feels so bad for her. They all think the same, she doesnt deserve this. She's a good and loving girl.

"Dana, have you eaten yet?" Her mom asked. She just replied with a no. She's too tired to reply.

"Come on, Georgina brought some fruits awhile ago. You want some apple?" Her mom asked and she nodded. Her mom helped her to sit up. Its hard for Dana because her body hurts. Its one of the effects that she's dealing with.

Dana silently ate the apple while her mom is watching her, with tears in her eyes. Who wouldnt be sad? Looking at your daughter dealing with this is pretty tough.

"I-im tired, mom" Dana mumbled.

"Okay, honey" she helped Dana lay back down so she can sleep. Another effect, she became tired easily.

She just watch her daughter sleep. Once she fell asleep, she started crying.

"She doesnt deserve this. Please, God. Help her through this" she prayed.

A few days later, Dana can talk now. And sore muscles are getting better. It might be a sign that she's doing good. But theyre still not yet sure.

"Dana, you feeling okay?" Ashton and Georgina just arrived and they brought her some fruits and flowers. They just looked at Dana. You can see pity in their eyes.

Dana is stick thin now. She barely eat because sometimes she's not in the mood and sometimes she just felt tired and just sleep.

"I-im good. The doctor told me that i'll be getting my CT scan tomorrow" Dana smiled.

"I hope it turns out okay" Georgina smiled.

"Have you got any news about Elliniese?" Dana asked.

"Well, she's in a coma right now" Ashton said

"Its funny that I pitied her before because she's in that situation, but now, were in the same position. I dont know who's worse though. If its her because she's in a coma, or me because im near to dying" Dana laughed.

"No-no, dont say that, Dana. You'll get well, soon" Ashton said. They gave her a hug. "Just be strong"

"I'll try my best" Dana smiled.

"Dont try. Do it" Georgina cheered her up

"Okay, i'll do it!" Dana laughed.

It amuses the other two because Dana is still strong even if she's in this situation. And she's still bubbly and fun. But not that energetic though.

"You and Ell will get through this" Ashton said.

"Yeah" Dana smiled and scratched her head, some of her hair fell off "Oops, there goes my hair again. Chemotherapy sucks" she pouted.

The other two tried to stop tears from falling from their eyes.

The doctor and Dana's parents are talking inside her room while she's sleeping.

"The CT scan results shows that her tumor got even bigger than before" the doctor started. "I suggest, we should do an operation soon"

"But you said its a 50/50 chance?" Her mom asked.

"Yes. That is why I want you to think this through" the doctor said

"We want to save her. We dont want her to die" her mom cried, her father hugged his wife as they continued talking to the doctor.

"That's the only way to save her" The doctor informed.

What they didnt know is Dana is just pretending to sleep and she's listening to their conversation.

And she finally made her decision.
