Chapter 25❤ "You Like Me?"

*Ashton's P.O.V* (HALLELUYAH!)

I walked away from the cheesy scene, with my hands in my pockets, I walked away sadly. Im too late.

Yes, I like Dana. The first time I saw her, I got attracted to her. And when I get to know her, i liked her because she's so nice. And the fact that she think about others first really got me. She's so caring, she's so lovely. But sadly, I can't get her heart because its madly inlove with her bestfriend.

What if I came first? What if I met Dana before Luke did? Will she like me too?

Damn, Luke you're lucky.

I walked to my locker to get my uniform for basketball. Im a player in here if you didnt know.

Just then, Luke entered the locker room.

"Congratulations" i said.

"Thanks" he replied as he put his stuffs in his locker.

"Take care of Dana. You're very lucky that she picked you"

"I know. And I will"

"Dont hurt her. Once you did, i'll take her away. Dont waste your chances, Luke" i said "And once I got her, im never gonna give her back to you. Dont think of hurting her"

"Because im pretty sure once you hurt her, you wont just loose your girlfriend, but also your bestfriend" I mumbled as I tap his shoulders.

"I know" he said, and I saw a flash of sadness and regret in his eyes.

"Im giving you this chance. But only once" I got out of the locker room and left him there.

He better not hurt her, he'll face my wrath.

"Goodjob everyone! You can go now" our coach dismissed us. And we all go to the shower room and changed.

Once I finished, i head off to the cafeteria. Its just time for lunch break.

"One pizza please" I said then I paid for it before heading to the fields and sat there.

"Hey, Ash!" I looked behind me to see Dana running. Then she sat next to me.

"What brought you here?" I asked her.

"Luke is playing there. And he said wait for him. And I saw you so, why not join you instead, right?" She smiled. "Want some?" She handed me some apple slices and I gladly accept it.

"Ive heard that Luke is courting you" i started off.

"Yeah. And im so happy about it. I cant explain my emotions at the moment" she beamed. She really is happy.

"I can see that" i laughed. "But what about the promise that you guys made?"

"Hmm.. Let's not worry about that at the moment. Lets just pay the consequences later"

"I hope you're happy. And I hope he wont hurt you" i trailed off. Its now or never.

"Yeah"

"I want to tell you something, Dana. Atleast it wont bug me anymore" i started

"What is it?"

"I dont know if you have noticed, but I really like you. But I saw how much you adore Luke so I just kept it a secret. I dont wanna bug you about it. But im telling it to you right now not because I want to have you or compete with Luke." I paused "But because I want you to know that once Luke hurt you, im here. I'll be waiting for you. I dont care if you'll make me as your rebound. Im giving Luke a chance, and once he waste it, im going to get you from him."

"Ashton.." She mumbled "Im sorry"

"Its okay. I understand" she doesnt like me atleast alittle bit.

"Im really sorry" she said then she hugged me and I hug her back.

"Take care, Dana. Dont let yourself get hurt. And im here for you, if ever" i said then I break off the hug and I stood up. "I should go now"

"Oh, okay. Bye, Ash" she stood up aswell "See you tomorrow then?" She smiled.

"Yeah" i smiled back then I walked away. Away from the girl that I like.

"One vodka please" I said to the bartender. Yeah, im in a bar. Im gonna drink away the pain.

"Brokenhearted?" A girl sat next to me.

"Yeah"

"Same" she said. I looked at her to see Elliniese.

"Ell?" "Ash?"

"What you doing here?" I asked.

"As ive said, im currently brokenhearted"

"With whom?" I asked. She's still my cousin, and Im still worried who broke her heart.

"Its for me to know and you to find out" she said as she drank her liquor "Its funny that its my fault that im feeling this at the moment. I made that decision" she looked really sad. Im sure she's not talking about Luke because they already broke apart about a month ago. And I heard that she's dating someone she met at a party. "What about you? Why are you brokenhearted, my dear cousin?"

"Well, I sacrificed my own happiness to see the one I love, happy" i said.

"Dana?" She asked.

"Yeah. How'd you know?"

"I can see how you look at her"

It felt silent for awhile.

"We're hurting because of the same per--reason. Funny" she laughed
