Chapter 18❤ "He's Suffering"

*Dana's P.O.V*

Its been, what? One week? And Luke is still not the same. Yes, he's always with us but it feels like he's a ghost. He barely talk. Its like he became a body of air. All he do is nod when we ask him. And its bothering us, especially me. I haveny got any normal conversation with him.

For Elliniese, I havent seen her in the school grounds. Even her friends dont know where she is. Is she hiding? For what? To whom?

"Uh Luke, did you answered number twenty at math? Arithmetic is really hard!" Georgina said.

"Yeah" Luke answered in a low voice while looking at his phone. I peak at it to see a picture of him and Ell.

He still hasnt moved on. He's still suffering.

"Uhm. Can--Can I see it?" Georgina asked. Luke just pointed at the blue notebook that is sitting on the table. I looked at Georgina and she just shooked her head like she's telling me that there's no hope.

We're all trying, but still nothing.

"Would you like some pizza's? I know you like these" i asked him.

"Im good" he half-smiled.

"Im sick of this! You acting like you only know few words and us trying to make it look like its okay! Just f-cking talk to us, you know, we can help you! Dont be stuck to that girl because she's not just the only girl in this world! We're just wasting our breath to try and talk to you. You're hopeless" Ashton bursted.

"Stop it, Ash!" I whispered. "Georgina, can you take Ash with you for a secon--" i was cutted off by Luke.

"Im sorry if I didnt respond to you. And im sorry for being hopeless. I just cant help it! It hurts so bad and you guys didnt know how much it hurt. Try to put yourselves in my shoes so you'll feel me! In short, Dont f-cking tell me what to do!" he responded and he then left. We were left hanging.

"Look at what you did, Ashton. You and your uncontrollable mouth!" Georgina shouted at her cousin. Ashton just shrugged and left the table aswell.

"They really wont get along" I said.

"What Ashton said was kinda overboard. He shouldnt have said that. Especially Luke is in his emotional state" Georgina said "Its not that easy to move on. And Ash is like that because he's tired of seeing you sad" she whispered the last part so i cant quite hear it.

"Lets just give Luke some more time. And when I cant take it anymore, I'll be the one to initiate the talk" i said and she just nods.

"Mr. Hemmings, are you listening to me?" our English teacher asked him. Were in class right now, and Luke is spacing out, for the gazillion times.

"Yes, sir" he just answered.

"Then what did I just teach?" he asked again which makes Luke quiet. Ofcourse he wasnt listening.

"If you keep doing that, then I dont have any choice but to kick you out of class" he says.

"Im sorry, sir" Luke mumbled.

What is happening to you, Luke? You cant keep doing that!

Days passed, and yeah, Luke is still the same. And he even skipped class last time! And now, he's been absent for three days. His grades are going down!

"Ms. Blues, I know that you are good friends with Mr. Hemmings, is there any news why he's absent?" the school dean talked to me.

"Im sorry, but I dont know either. I wasnt able to contact him. Its either he's not home or I cant reach his phone. I tried but nothing" i answered politely.

"Okay. Im just concerned on what is happening to him. He used to be good at classes. And now, this is happening to his grades"

"Its just, he's having private issues right now. He doesnt want to talk about it"

"Sure. Okay, Ms. Blues, if you can, will you talk to him? Or to his parents? All his grades will go to waste if he keeps on doing this" he pleaded.

"Sure, Ma'am" i smiled. And she let me off.

This has to stop. Ruining your life for someone is not a good idea.

Its settled, im gonna talk to him. He needs some words to pick himself up again.
