Chapter 37❤ "The Story Behind Everything"

*Dana's P.O.V*

I woke up and I noticed that im in a white room. Im in the hospital.

"Thank God you're awake" My mom said. I saw my dad and Denver behind her. They all looked worried. Ashton and Georgina is sitting on the chairs, they stood up as soon as they heard my mom said those.

"What happened?" I asked.

"You blacked out, honey. Thanks to Ashton, he brought you here" she smiled at Ashton "Are you feeling okay now?"

"K-kinda. What did the doctor said?" I asked, quite scared.

"He said that you blacked out because of stress. Is there any problem?" Dad asked.

"Where's Luke?" Denver asked

"Uhm..we broke up" I looked away. They're going to ask questions.

"Oh, what happened?" Denver asked.

"Stop asking her questions. She just woke up. Let her rest" Mom said, I smiled at her. "By the way, the doctor told us that you can leave when you woke up. But I think you should eat first. So after you eat, we will leave"

"We will leave you here with Ashton and Georgina. We're going to get some foods" Dad said. He kissed my forehead before leaving the room with my mom and brother.

"Are you feeling good now?" Ashton asked. "We were so worried"

"Yeah. Thanks to you Ashton" I hugged him.

"You dont know how worried he is, Dana. He's shaking when I met him here" Georgina told me "But thank god you're okay now"

I smiled. I want to ask them something. But I dont know how.

"D-did he uhm vi--" I was cut off by Ashton.

"He doesnt know. We chose not to let him know. Plus, you're okay now" Ashton said.

"Oh okay" I said.

Its okay, Dana. You dont want him to get worried about you right?

I was waiting at the school fields all alone when I felt a presence behind me. I looked behind to see Elliniese.

"What do you need?" I asked.

"I just want to talk" She said and she walked infront of me "I want to tell you the truth"

"How can I know that you're telling the truth and you're not just playing with me?" I asked.

"Just believe me. I want to clear things out. Im telling the truth, not just for me. But for you and Luke aswell. I dont like what's happening right now" she said

"You just realized that what you did would cause all of this mess? You should've have realized that before you told him about that deal" I raised my voice. I want to slap her.

"I know! That's why im here to say sorry! And explain why I made that deal with him!" She shouted "So just please, give me atleast five minutes to explain"

"Time's ticking" I crossed my arms and waited for her to talk.

"Actually, I didnt think that it would end like this. And what you heard at the cafe isnt the whole story"

"How did you know that i was there?" I burrowed my eyebrows

"I saw you left the cafe" she said "And at that time, I was wishing that you didnt leave so early. I called him to meet me there so I can tell him that im not going to continue the deal with him anymore. I wish you heard the entire conversation so it wouldnt end like this" she explained.

"Then why did you not want to continue the deal anymore?" I asked.

"I was testing Luke. If he's already inlove with you and that he cant continue the deal anymore" she paused "Now, let me explain why I made this deal"

"I know how much you love him. I've seen it with my two eyes. That time when I was gone for a week, I saw how much you two fit together. And that time, I told myself that you two were made for each other. That is why I broke up with him" she paused "Its not easy, but you deserve him more than I do. It seems that neither of you want to confess so I thought of something. After a month, I checked him to see if he already moved on with me and finally realized that its really you that he likes. But I found out that he still hasnt moved on. And that's when I made the move. I thought, why not make that deal with him. I know that he'll say no, but I used his weak state to make him agree to it. "

At this time, my tears are falling.

"And thank god he agreed" she said "My plan is, to make him date you. Because I think that he'll realize what he feels towards you when he starts dating you and hanging out with you more. Oh my gosh. I cried my eyes out.

"But then you heard us. Its not in the plan, you shouldnt have heard it" she said "Trust me, Dana. He loves you. He's not inlove with me or anything"

"Why are you telling me all of this?" I asked.

"I feel so bad that you two are in this situation. I didnt think that there's a possibility that you'll know thats why I explained it to you. So I hope that helps" she paused, I noticed some tears on her eyes "So, whatever Luke is acting towards you, its the opposite. Trust me, he loves you. That's all that you should hold onto. If you could only see how he's coping up right know. He doesnt want to see you because he's afraid. He doesnt tell me what he's feeling but I can read h-him" she's shaking.

"Where is he right now? I want to talk to him" i asked

"I-i dont know" she stuttered. She started clutching her chest "Im really sorry f-for what I d-did Dana"

"I forgive you" i looked at her, confused. She looks like she's in pain. I hold her shoulders to keep her standing straight "A-are you okay, Ell?"

"Luke is just b-blinded, Dana. Remember t-that" Then she fell onto the ground.

"What did you do, Dana?! Why did you push her?" I looked at the guy, and I saw that its Luke. He's running towards us.

"I-i didnt" I stuttered.
