Chapter 17❤ "They Broke Up"

*Dana's P.O.V*

"Where's Luke?" Georgina asked me. We're walking through the school field since we dont have classes for an hour. Its our vacant time. Sucks for Ashton cause he have Geography at this hour. He have to be stuck there with that terror teacher.

"I dont know either. I didnt saw him this morning. So was Elliniese. I guess they're together at this time" i said.

"They really do things together, arent they?" Georgina laughed. I just smiled.

"Yeah, right. But, I dont know, I feel like something is going to happen today" i explained.

"Maybe, someone's going to court you?" she joked.

"You must be kidding" i laughed.

"Why not? You're pretty! I bet my cousin likes you!"

"Whatever you say, Georgina" i shaked my head. "Isnt that your crush?"

I pointed at the soccer field where the guy Georgina likes are playing with his teammates.

"Oh my! His moves!" she giggled as she pulled me to the nearby bleachers.

"What's his name again? I thought you like Franc Bolton?"

"Nah. Austin is much hotter" she giggled.

"Why dont you try giving him signals that you like him?" I asked "You're pretty. Im sure he'll get attracted"

"I dont know. Maybe some other time" she said while she's looking at Austin's direction "It can wait. And Ashton wont allow me yet"

"Sucks for you. You have a protective cousin" i laughed.

"Soon, i'll be 18. And he cant guard me anymore" she smirked.

"Maybe he just dont want his cousin to get hurt by boys. You know guys, they play with girls alot"

"Not only guys play, though. Even girls, they play guys" and I agreed.

"Enough with the staring. We should go to our next class. Its a long walk there" i stood up and tug her along.

We stopped at the restroom first because Georgina wants to retouch her make up.

"Why dont you try wearing make up?" she asked as she do her thing. "Cant you do it?"

"I can do it. I just dont want to. It takes too much time" I said. I entered one cubicle cause I felt like peeing. I also heard Georgina entered the other one.

"Have you heard?" someone from outside said.

"Yeah. It was so sad though. I really like them both together" said another girl.

"Why did they broke up?"

"I dont know. Elliniese didnt tell me the reason why. I asked her and she just shrugged"

Wait.. Elliniese?!

"I saw Luke go up the rooftop awhile ago. And he was about to cry"

Sh-t. Luke needs me.

"Yeah. He really love her." after that, I heard the door closed. They left the restroom. Me and Georgina got out of the cubicles.

"What did I just heard?" Georgina said.

"Who broke it up first?" i asked.

"I dont know. But what I do know is, Luke needs some shoulder to cry on" she said. "Go. Find him. He needs his bestfriend"

"But what about class?"

"I'll make up some reason for you. Dont worry" she smiled "Go! Before he jumps at the rooftop... Just kidding" she joked.

"Thanks" I smiled at her and she nods.

I run as fast as I can to the rooftop. All I saw is the school janitor locking the doors to the rooftop

"Uhm. Excuse me, may I ask if you saw a blond guy with piercing on his lips in there?" i asked.

"Oh. He left about fifteen minutes ago" he said

"Okay. Thank you" i said and I got down again.

Where can I find that guy?! I wasted my energy going up here.

Why not try calling him?

I dialled his phone number and waited for him to answer.

"Luke?!"

"Oh, Dana? W-why?" he sounded so sad. It breaks my heart.

"Are you okay? Ive heard the news"

"I-im fine. J-just reminiscing the old times. H-haha"

"Dont try to sound that youre okay. I know youre not"

"Dont worry about me, Dana"

"Where are you?"

"I want to be alone right now. I hope you understand. I'll just ring you if I need anything"

"Okay-okay. Are you really sure you're fine?"

"Yeah. Dont worry about me. Im--im going to be alright. I j-just need some t-time. Dont worry, I wont do something stupid"

"Okay, Luke. Just call me okay? Im always here for you"

"Okay. Thank you, Dana"

"Take care, Luke" then I ended the call.

Maybe some other time, Dana. He needs to be alone. You're his bestfriend. He'll eventually cry on your shoulders.

I walked back to our next class, where the room is still empty. It still has ten more minutes till the subject before this ended. Just good. I need to think what could have been the reason why Elliniese broke up with him. He's a good guy for pete's sake! Scratch that, he's perfect!

I let go of my own happiness just to make Luke happy. I helped him with Ell. And then she just broke up with him? She just hurt him?

If ever, I will take Luke. And I'll never let him go back to her again. He's hurt enough.

"So?! Is it really official that they broke up?" Georgina asked as we walked back home. She live next to our neighborhood.

"Yeah. Luke sounded really down when I called him" i answered.

"Ooh! This is the part that I read in books! The girl's bff broke up with his gf and then the two bff's got closer enough and they fall inlove with each other and they'll have a happy ending!" she jumped. "What? Dont look at me like im some kind of a weird specie!"

"There's no such thing as happy endings and happily ever after. Those are just in fairytales" i rolled my eyes.

"Honey, if its still not happy, its still not the end" she smiled at me.

"I wish its like that" i said "But this is real life"

"Don't be so negative! I really wanted LuNa! LuNa shipper for evah!" she sing-songed.

I just shooked my head while laughing.

"Anyways, here's my street. Gotta go, Georgina!" i seperated ways with her.

"Byee! I will ship LuNa! I promise you that! Its gonna be forever!" she waved bye and I did the same.

I wish that thing you ship happens too. I'll make sure that Luke will be happy with me.
