"wahhh! wahh!"your three month old daughter cried as you got out of bed for the third time tonight.

areum is your first and only child. she's only three months old and hasn't really been doing well these days. she hasn't been gaining weight well she also fusses around a lot when she's being fed from you.

your husband was also overseas for business so unfortunately you were all alone with a crying baby. not to mention the fact that she wasn't eating well.

she doesn't crave for milk in the day and usually at night. disturbing your much needed sleep. she isn't able to catch up in her age weight which concerned you a lot. as of now she's only 3 months so still usually breastfed if not bottle fed.

she woke you up at 4 am last night. and she was supposed to be fed every 2 hours. it's already 7 and she, fortunately or not, isn't awake. but she has to be fed so you picked her up from her crib. slowly un-swaddling her  as she let out a morning stretch.

"darling, we gotta feed you okay" you spoke to her before sitting on your bed and having her latch on to your breast. unfortunately, she was being extra fussy and fought away from her milk supply and refused to drink.

"sweetie, come on, you'll be hungry later, at this point im gonna bring you to the doctors. you have to catch up on your age in weight okay", as if she could understand, she latched on well as she drank her milk.

you did actually want to bring her to the doctors to get her checked up. so during lunch time, you breastfed her and got the two of you dressed up.

clipping up the tula before grabbing a baby bag and your necessities. leaving the house and going down the street to the clinic.

"an appointment for jeon areum" you said to the receptionist as she led you to the room. knocking before you enter, then being greeted by the female doctor. "hi, so what's the problem with areum?" she asked

"she's been fussy when i want to feed her. sometimes even going 3 hours without drinking milk. she would refuse to latch on at times and im worries because she isn't catching up with her age group on weight" you revealed your concerns to her.

"okay, sometimes newborns are like that but after they reach the 5th month they'll know the importance of food. it's normal for new borns weight to be varied right now so nothing to be worried about as of now", she answered. you clarified a few things as she did a few check ups on areum making sure she's fine. before dismissing the two of you back home.

at night
"how was she?" your husband asked through the phone. "she's okay, brought her to the doctors since she wasn't eating well". "oh, i hope she isn't giving you a hard time, I'll be back as soon as i can. missing the two of you so much", he spoke sadly through the phone making you chuckle. talking a bit more as you baby was knocked out in her crib. bidding goodbye and heading to dreamland.
