"doc sent a message to head to the hospital" you said from the sofa as your husband was preparing dinner. you guys had a group chat with your gynaecologist (does baby check ups) and obstetrician (helps with (post) birth).

"she said babies will come in about 2-3 days and we should head over just in case babies decide to come early" you add. "sure, after dinner I'll check bags and we'll head over alright", he lowers the fire heat and walk over to the sofa. kissing your forehead as you lay on the sofa. dragging the blanket off and kisses your belly.

"baby liam and esme..." he says your agreed baby names. "come out soon okay, in the meantime, treat mummy well... come on, dinner should be ready", he helps you up and walks to the counter to plate the dishes.

"I'll wash up, and check the bags, you can see if there's anything else you wannna add. if not go watch some tv hm?" he instructs. during the early stages of pregnancy, you'd still insist on doing everything or at least the ones you can. but being 9 months with not just one but two babies. you decide to not fight it and just do as he says.

he quickly washes up before you hand him your toiletry bag to put in the luggage. waddling to the car as he follows, helping you with the door and he drives off to the hospital.

"mrs jeon, you'll be here for the next few days. contractions are normal, if you feel unsure about they way you feel or if you think babies are coming, press the red button, we'll come and check on you", briefing you on the whole process and you signed up for epidural. a pain relief especially during natural birth twins.

"thank you, I'll watch over her", your husband reassures as you get your sleep for the night.

"love?" you call to your husband whom was sleeping on the couch. "mh, yes darling?" he rubs his eyes walking over and sitting on the chair by your side. "i really hurt and ill call the doctors", you inform him pressing the red button.

in less than a minute a doctor enters your room. "yes mrs jeon, will check you first, see how much the baby is dilated", doctor gets to work immediately.

"you're 10 cm dilated. usually we push at 8. i don't want to force your babies out so I'll leave the monitor on, it will automatically alert me when you're almost at 10", she informs.

"great thanks doc", you answer as she also lets you know ways to get closer to your dilation. you get up with the help of your husband. walking around the room and the hospital to get dilated quicker as the doctor recommended.

"okay mrs jeon, i need you to slowly push your first baby out", you try your best as your husband holds onto your hand and wipes sweat off your forehead.

thankfully the first cry of your first baby was heard. "a little boy, congratulations!" your obstetrician says as you do skin to skin with your first born boy liam. "hey little boy", your husband says as you look up to him.

before nurses take him away as only after 2 minutes your little girl decides that she wants to meet her parents too.

she was easier than her brother and you didn't have any difficulties during the birth of your twins.

finally you were with your family of four in the family ward. "im so proud of you love", your husband kisses your forehead as your babies were sleeping in the incubators beside your bed.

"im so tired and i want a nice meal", you sigh. "whatever you want love, get some shut eye. I'll watch the little ones and order your favourite. sotteok sotteok, gyoza with ramen?" you smile and nod. as your husband presses the button to recline your bed. bringing the blanket up to your neck, just how you like it as you doze off.
