when your child is sick | JJK

At the Jeon company; jk pov.
"Sir, your Wife is calling", my assistant said.

Y/n is my Wife of 3 years, and recently she gave birth to a baby girl. Areum, she's 6 months old. She has her mothers eyes and my button nose. She is an angel in our lives.

Y/n usually doesn't call when I'm at work too. "Tell her to call back", I said as I was in a meeting, brushing it off like maybe she could have pressed it on accident. "But she said it's about your daughter ", my assistant continued.

I immediately grabbed the phone. Anything happens to my little girl I will regret it for life. "Baby is everything okay?" I said worriedly.

"No! Areum is sick. She has high temperature of 38.9. She won't stop crying.  I tried to calm her down and put the ice pack but it isn't decreasing", my Wife said in a breaking voice.

I knew she was on the edge. She always breaks down when it's her limit I rarely see her cry. I was worried. "Okay love, call the doctor, I'll head home now okay?" I said trying to calm the love of my life down.

Time skip
As I pulled over, I rushed in to see my Wife sitting holding Daughter on her lap as the doctor checked her mouth. My daughter was also crying.

"Papa is home love" my wife said trying to cheer my daughter up. "Hey love it's okay" I said to my daughter as she continues to cry. I caress her little head with tiny hair before giving it a peck.

"Okay, she's fine it's just a mild baby fever. It's normal, just take this medicine every time after a meal". The doctor said. We thanked him before leading him out. As I shut the door. I see my Wife carrying my continuously crying daughter.

I reached out to the little girl and placed her head on my shoulder. "I wish I could take the pain always from you love",I said, continue to pat her head and gave her a kiss on the head.

"I'll feed her first then, then we can nap", my Wife said. I handed the little bean over before my Wife got ready to breastfeed.

My daughter went into her moms arms and started drinking. The three of us were on the couch. I placed my hand around my wife's waist.

"You are so brave", I said as I kissed her head which was leaning against my shoulder as we watched some tv and talked about our day.

After feeding and burping Areum, we fed her her medication and placed her to sleep.

My Wife and I got some time to ourselves. Though it was tough to take care of Areum, we still love her alot.
