The Night We Met

(Loris pov)

Tom was annoyed that I was going out alone with Vanessa tomorrow night, but I don't plan on spending the rest of my life locked in a room.

"I'm going to the club early tomorrow with another friend, so come whenever you want, we'll be there all night." Vanessa said, running her fingers through my hand, a warm smile on her face.I nodded my head and smiled at her while Bill asked her "Which other friend will be there?", Vanessa didn't look at him, she just said, still looking at my hand, "You don't know her."Bill nodded and had a slightly suspicious look on his face.I looked at Tom who was looking a little hostile at Vanessa, that annoyed me, but I didn't say anything to him.

Vanessa tipped her drink and said "I have to go home and get some rest."I approached her and hugged her, and she patted me on the back and said, moving away, "Tomorrow you will be the most beautiful, I know that."I giggled and looked down and replied "No, I think you'll be the one."She smiled at me and raised her eyebrows, and now Bill came up behind her and put his hand on her shoulder.She flinched and then turned to him. "Oh" she said quietly as Bill brought his lips to her cheek and left that mark.I noticed that something strange is happening with her, like she's not in love with Bill anymore, but that's none of my business.

Vanessa pulled away from him and turned to me once again saying "Bye" and then headed back to the door.Bill waved at her and just as silently said "Bye".Bill and I went back to our seats and sat down. Tom got up from his chair and followed Vanessa. Bill and I turned to Tom but we didn't get up to see what he was going to do.I looked back at Bill, tears pooling in his eyes "Bill?" I said, grabbing his wrist.He looked at me while a tear slid down his cheek, but he still didn't say anything, he just looked at me sadly."What's wrong?" I asked, rubbing his hand, and he looked at me again and then said, "Lori, don't act like you can't see, like you can't see that Vanessa has changed."I lowered my head and sighed, knowing that something was not the same with her.

"When I first met her at the party, I just want to go back to that night, when I first saw her blue eyes. I always knew I liked her and always wanted to have her and now that I finally have her I feel like I'm losing her.Why does this always happen to me Lori?"said Bill, as tears continued to fall from his eyes.I watched him cry, how much he was suffering, I couldn't do anything for him now except to comfort him.I could cry for him too, but I have lost the strength to cry.

(Vanessas pov)

As I opened the exit door to go out, someone's hand grabbed my wrist and I quickly turned around. It was an annoyed Tom."How do you get the right to take Lori to places like that?" he said angrily, jerking my hand.I pulled my hand away and said "You will say something, and she suffered the most because of you fool. I just want her to have a good time and enjoy herself."Tom put his hands on his hips and started to get closer to me and get in my face saying "Come on bitch admit why my brother is boring you and who are you fucking around with."I froze as I listened to his words, because it's been running through my head for whole days. I felt terrible in my skin, knowing that I was no longer loving the man who would give his life for my.My eyes glazed over with tears, feeling so bad for Bill, but still not admitting anything.I pushed Tom away as I yelled at him "Don't screw up anymore you monster"

I ran out of the house and ran to the taxi driver who was already waiting for me and whom I called.I ran to the taxi driver while wiping the tears that were falling down my face and quickly got into the car.I looked at Tom as the taxi driver started to drive, and tears were streaming down my face.
