Ch.6 - Never Good Enough

Chad's POV

"Chad you are the prince of Cinderellasburg. You have to do better in class."

"I am trying Dad. I am not smart like these other royals."

"You do not have to be. You have to be brave, strong, and prepared to rule. One day you will be King of our realm.

I am failing my academic classes. My friends try to help me, but they have to worry about themselves, and their future kingdoms.

"I heard those villain kids are coming to Auradon Prep. Do not let them get in the way of your learning. I know you are best friends with Ben, but this is all his problem. Your mom and I do not the future king of our country to get hurt by one of them."

"Yes sir."

"Bye Love you."

I close my laptop, and call Ben.

"Yeah dude."

"Hey I cannot help you with the VK's. My dad wants me to get my grades up, and not to do anything to embarrass him."

"He did not say that."

"No but he implied it with his eyes."

"Ok I understand. I will ask someone else. Talk to you later."

"Bye"

Demi's POV

The driver opens the door, and I climb inside, while the others are talking to their parents.

"Are you happy to be going to Auradon," a quiet voice says. I look over, and Carlos was the one to say it.

"I am very excited. I will miss my father, but he wanted me to go as well. What about you?"

"I am kind of scared. I heard that they have dogs, who eat boys there."

"Carlos, I promise you that the dogs in Auradon will not eat you. Or capable of eating you. They biggest dog is a Cerberus. A huge three headed dog, but it no longer exist."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I am. Did your friends not assure you?"

"Not really. We are the same age, but they see me as a little kid."

"Well you can hang out with me, and I will look out for you."

He smiles unsurely. "Ok. That sounds like fun."
