Ch. 15 - Tinker Tells

Demi's POV

I walk outside, and feel the nice breeze of Auradon air. I can smell the flowers littering the campus. It is better than the smell of sewers. Or the smell of Ursula's Fish and Chips Shoppe. I look at the flowers, and see fairies, tending to them. There is only one fairy on the Isle of the Lost, and that is Maleficent. That means that Mal is part fairy. Who is her father though? That is one of the weird things about the Isle. Most of the kids have one parent, and the other one is missing.

I watch the fairies work, and it is amazing the way they use their magic.

"They are talented aren't they?" I look up and a girl with pigtails and a tray is standing above me.

"Yes they are. It must be amazing being so in tuned with your magic."

"I am Tiger Peony. You must be one of the kids from the Isle."

"Yes I am. Demi No Last name. Come to see one of the freaks up close."

"No actually you are in my spot. I come here to talk to my friend." Tiger Peony walks down the stairs, and sets the tray along the edge of the flowers. It is filled with thimbles, a little pot of soapy water, regular water, and a slice of pie.

"Hey guys, I brought you all some food." All the fairies rush out of the garden to the tray. They wash their hands, then grab a piece of the pie, and thimbles of drink.

The fairies finish their food, and begin to leave. They speak to Tiger Peony, and all I can hear is squeaks.

"You are welcome."

"You can understand them?"

"Living in Neverland I grew up with fairies. You get use to the squeaking, and my ears jus tune into them."

"That is nice of you."

"You will find that not every person at this school is self-serving."

"It is my first day here. So I will see." I get up and walk back to my room, with Evie, and Mal.

I get there, and they are not in the room.

They better not be getting in trouble.
