me: Wiggletown was a fun one.
Burt: Yeah.
me: When I was a sophomore in high school I had a wide variety of Wiggles themed parodies. I had one called Wiggletown, but it was a parody of Heat of the Night by Aqua and listening to it now, it's totally pointless.
Burt: But our Wiggletown is a parody of Petula Clark's Downtown, although we sang along to Patty Duke's version.
me: *laughs* Thanks, Patty. Um... I first heard Downtown in my creative writing class last fall. I liked it and I heard Patty's version and... it kinda went from there.
Burt: We basically wrote Wiggletown because... it was the time we were doing The Jeremy Clyde Show and we needed Jeremy to sing a song to explain Wiggletown to his cousin. So that's what we came up with.
me: Yeah, we had Jeremy sing it in a story to launch it. He didn't like it very much, but it was still a hit when we sang it in the end credits.
Burt: Any requests? And just as a reminder, you can choose a single or an album song.
