Burt: Now, a lot of people reading the title probably thought it was the one that goes, "vacation, all I ever wanted, vacation, had to get away"...
me: Yeah, our follower Amanda left a comment saying she thought it was.
Burt: But it's not.
me: No. It's actually a rewrite from Enya's Evacuee. Our version was featured in our story Storms in Africa.
Burt: Exactly. Probably the only parody in that story. Now, Sammy came up with Vacation, so she'll tell you about it.
me: *laughs* Sure. Um... I was taking a road trip with my dad to St Louis. I live in Connecticut, so it was a long one. On the first night, we stopped in Bedford Pennsylvania to get some sleep.
Burt: How was that?
me: Not bad, but not good either. Now... every night when I take a shower, I have music on with it. So I was listening to Enya in the shower. Evacuee played just as I was putting on my jammies. I was missing Burt, so I thought the song was fitting for how I felt. I just sang more relatable lyrics and that's what I got.
Burt: So in a nutshell, she thought of the words in the shower.
me: Well, sorta. But that is how it happened. The lyrics came naturally because I missed Burt. And when we recorded it, it ended up on Emotional Scars, our latest album.
Burt: Any requests?
