I Completely Understand

me: This one was an interesting one to me. Because originally, we'd written it to work in my story Memories Are Worse. 

Burt: Yeah. It did work in the story. You sang it for Jeremy's character. Barty Smythe was his name. But what was he originally from? I know Jeremy played him before.

me: Bergerac.

Burt: Bergerac; thank you. Uh... then who was he in Wycliffe?

me: That was Lord Hugh Bottrell.

Burt: Right, right. When we mention Smythe, I keep wanting to say he's from Wycliffe. 

me: But honest mistake, we sorta made Jeremy combine those characters in a way. 

Burt: Anyway, this song was written for Memories are Worse, and Jeremy was supposed to join in the end. 

me: And while he did in the story, he didn't on our track. So Burt added some harmonies and I just sang Jeremy's lines myself. And there you have it.

Burt: Any requests out there?
