Burt: This one's interesting because Sammy is actually singing about how she feels about Chad dying.
me: Yeah. As I do say, I think that when Chad wrote his song Long Ago and Far Away, he knew he was dying. He always told the story saying how he married three times and has six children and ten grandchildren.And when I actually heard the song, I was bawling my eyes out. I realized then how much I really missed Chad.
Burt: I miss him too.
me: Um... and while I was crying in my backyard, I immediately started changing the lyrics of Flowers by Lauren Spencer-Smith. And that's how Chorale for Chad happened.
Burt: The title actually came from a track from the Snow White soundtrack called Chorale for Snow White.
me: When I played the song for my dad, he said it was my best vocal.
