Scarlet began to breathe softly while slowly stepping into the front yard of The Heeler's house, she walked on their concrete walkway with plans of approaching the front door expecting Shane would be the one to answer it while two emotions started running through her head as she walked, them both being the feeling of nervousness and worry.
She tried to stay optimistic, hoping this might not go as badly as she thinks it will, however the fear of being denied a chance to live somewhere better than her tree house was still strong in the back of her head. Whatever the answer might be when she knocks on the door, Scarlet knew she needed to keep a positive outlook, while reminding herself to keep her expectations very low.
She hoped that Shane was right about Bandit maybe being nice enough to let her stay at their house for the time being, it would definitely be a blessing and one hundred percent safer compared to her previous living quarters. "Hello there." An older female voice then greeted her unexpectedly. Scarlet's train of thought would come to an end as she immediately stopped walking and stood in the middle of their front yard heavily confused when she heard the voice.
"Huh?" Scarlet replied in confusion, she wondered who was there.
It was obvious that Scarlet was clearly puzzled by the voice as she wondered as to where the voice came from, all she knew was that the voice was unexpected yet elegant along with welcoming almost like a fancy older woman, it had to have come from somebody in the cul-de-sac.
She first looked to her right and saw the house next door. There was nobody in the front yard, on the porch or even looking through their windows, so whoever was in that house couldn't have been the one who greeted her. She then looked to the left and saw another house next door expecting the same result like the house to her right.
To her surprise, however, there was somebody in the front yard and by the looks of them they seemed to be female which would match the voice she heard prior. Scarlet then looked at her appearance, she is a chow chow with all beige colored fur that was curly, black eyes and eyelashes, and finally a gold and blue brooch on her right side of her chest that from the design alone is probably expensive and definitely out of the corgi's price range.
Scarlet could also tell she was one of those fancy types that wants to keep her fur nice and clean considering she was using an umbrella despite it not raining in order to protect her fur from the sun, she was trimming some bushes in her front yard until her eyes looked up at Scarlet.
"You must be one of Bandit's fans, haven't seen any as of late, not after Bandit reported to the police that somebody broke into his office." She said in a fancy sounding accent to which Scarlet's eyes widened in response, she hasn't heard anything about Bandit's house being broken into by someone.
It must've happened recently cause news hadn't broken out about it yet, not even on PAWS which is a dumping ground for news like this, sounds like she now has two questions she wants to ask the older blue heeler when she meets him.
"I mean I am, but I'm not here for any autographs like those guys." Scarlet said truthfully, having a different reason for coming here, to see her friend Shane.
"Oh you're not? Usually that's the reason someone like you would show up." She replied, somewhat surprised the corgi wasn't here for an autograph or a picture from Bandit which was usually the most common reason somebody showed up.
"By any chance do you know about a human living with him and his family?" Scarlet asked the chow chow, curious if she knew anything about Shane living around here or in Bandit's house.
