it's a wonderful life

DECEMBER

"Now this... this is what I call a good movie." Kendall hummed, laying her head back on the edge of her bed.

"I still think Halloween is better."

"If you really think Halloween is better than it's a wonderful life then you should not be able to make decisions on your own." She laughed as he shoved her shoulder lightly.

"I'll have you know that I, Dean Roger Portman, am very capable of making my own decisions."

"Oh yeah?" She flirted slightly, leaning a bit closer.

"Yea-h," he stuttered. She was the only girl that could ever make him flustered.

She leaned back, noticing what she had done. Most of the time she really hoped that he would kiss her but he never would. He made the promise to himself that he would do nothing until she made the first move.

"This is my favorite part." She watched as George and Mary danced, having the time of their lives. Her favorite has always been when they both fell into the pool and George had kept them dancing. Nothing could have stopped him from finishing that dance with the girl he loved. She would wait for the man who would dance through every hard thing thrown there way. She wanted to keep on dancing with the boy she loved.

But who would keep dancing with her?

Dean watched as her eyes lit up from the couples dance. "Yeah, i love this part too."

He had actually seen the movie tons of times. It was his moms favorite and he actually didn't mind it one bit.

"I'll give you the moon, mary." He whispered into her ear.

She turned her head slowly, looking into his eyes. He'd seen the movie before. I'll give you the moon, mary. It was her favorite line.

She smiled slowly, whispering in response, "i'll take it."

His heart beat faster as she slowly leaned forward. Her eyes looking between his eyes and lips.

This was the moment he had been waiting years for. Lucky for him, she always had been a risk taker.

Her lips touched his slowly and softly, kissing him gently. When his lips didn't move with hers she backed up, "i'm sorry."

His face was officially a full shade of red. "oh gosh i'm so sorry. I shouldn't have assumed." She panicked.

He shook himself out of it, "i'm not sorry." Finally. He placed a hand on her jaw, his thumb laying in her cheek, kissing her this time. He was so gentle with her, kissing her softly and slowly.

He looked in her eyes, he was so nervous yet excited all at once. "Are you sure this is what you want?" He questioned, was she fully in this? "No blue eyes?"

She smiled, her face still close to his. "No. No blue eyes. Only the brown ones in front of me. I'm sure." No blue eyes.

"Hell yes." He laughed, going in again. He now knew the meaning of patience is a virtue.

Kendall hadn't lied. For once in her life, she hadn't been thinking of blue eyes. This was the right decision.
