"Vanilla is way better than chocolate. It's creamy and milky and the taste is really nice. It tastes better with strawberry, actually, and you have just gotta lick it all the way," He explained.
"Are we still talking about the same vanilla?" I asked, arching an eyebrow at him.
"Yup," he replied with a sly smirk, and I shook my head at him.
"God, you are so..." I trailed off.
"I am talking about vanilla. It is you who has your head in the gutter. What exactly do you think I am talking about?" He asked.
"You know exactly what I was talking about," I groaned out, clearly not liking the turn of events.
Deciding I wasn't going to speak to him again. I took out a novel to read. I was about to open the book, just to have it snatched from my hand. "Hey," I pouted, and glared at the intruder.
"We are still hours away from Paris. I am not going to let you read this. We communicate throughout this because I can't afford to die of boredom," he said.
I smiled inwardly that he wanted to continue talking to me.
"What should we do?" I asked.
He pursed his lips as if thinking. "Should we watch a movie?" I nodded, agreeing immediately.
I got to watch a movie with my crush - something I’d always dreamed of doing with him. And now, it was finally happening on this trip.
If someone had told me just a few weeks ago that I’d get the chance to not only talk to him but sit next to him like this, I would’ve laughed in disbelief.
Yeah, I get it. I was excited. But maybe I should stop daydreaming and focus on the actual handsome guy sitting beside me.
A finger snapped in front of my face, snapping me out of my trance. "You okay? You zoned out," he said, a small crease of concern between his brows.
Butterflies erupted in my stomach at his show of concern for me.
'I’m good," I replied with a shy smile.
'What kind of movie should we watch?" he asked. I wanted to say romance. Something sweet and heart-fluttering.
And that’s exactly what we picked. I couldn’t help but go aww when the lead characters shared a kiss on screen.
I scooted a little closer to him, and he glanced at me with a soft smile. “I think I’m starting to feel something for you,” he whispered.
My eyes widened. Were they about to pop out of my head?
'You do?" I managed to say, my voice filled with disbelief.
"Yeah," he said. "How can I not? You’re pretty, smart, funny… you’ve got it all."
I pressed a hand to my chest. My heart was racing so fast, I was afraid it might give out from happiness.
He likes me.
I knew you had it in you to woo a guy.
Thank you my all time nemesis.
"I’ve always had a crush on you," I mumbled, nervously fiddling with my fingers.
"Really? I didn’t think you’d like me," he said, looking genuinely surprised. "I was expecting a rejection. Figured it was karma for all the hearts I’ve broken," he added, almost whispering the last part.
I reached out and placed my hand over his. He entwined our fingers, and I swear I felt a spark shoot up my arm.
"Do you feel that?" I asked softly.
