"So, what did he tell you?"
I walked towards Yoongi who was leaning against the bar. I didn't like to talk about my missions with my colleagues so, I answered vaguely.
"I have to find Minhyun. And the money."
He frowned but didn't insist. I saw from the corner of my eyes his irritated expression. He knew that when the boss calls me for missions, I never talk about it. As for me, I never allowed myself to ask Yoongi or any of my other colleagues what their missions were.
My superior reappeared in the club from the grey door with two other people: Jimin and another man that I'd never seen before. He seemed to be really close to Taehyung; he whispered something in his ear while looking at me. My boss answered him, but I couldn't hear a thing from where I was. I was worried about what that new man had whispered to my boss, but I quickly forgot about it as Taehyung looked back at me, feeling my eyes on him. I looked away instantly.
"Yo, Jungkook!"
I smiled at Jimin. He was the person I was the closest to in this world. He's 20, only two years older than me, which is why we were so close to each other. He friendly hugged me. I hugged him back with a sincere smile. I like him a lot.
"How are you doing?" he asked me.
He greeted Yoongi too.
"I'm fine, you?" I said softly.
"I'm good. How's business these days?"
We talked for a moment about the ring. Jimin was Taehyung's bodyguard, that's why he's following him everywhere. When I first arrived here, he was already working for the boss for quite a while.
"Jimin. Let's go." Ordered the man I didn't know.
I looked at Jimin for a moment, who uttered an "I'm coming" to the man. Then I gestured to Jimin to come closer. He did, curious about what I wanted to tell him. Yoongi wasn't listening, too busy with his phone.
"Tell me... I've never seen this guy before, who's he?" I asked him, pointing discreetly at the man next to Taehyung.
Jimin followed my glance and then looked back at me, surprised.
"You've never seen Jin before?"
Jin?
"No, never."
"Oh right! You arrived less than a year ago. Jin was in Japan for six months to see our collaborators for a special case. I thought you had seen him before he left."
"No, never," I said staring at the man.
I was surprised to see him placing a hand on Taehyung's shoulder. I had to refrain myself from widening my eyes. They were really close to each other. I was intrigued by him, but not in a good way. I didn't trust him, and I didn't know why.
"What's his role?" I asked Jimin again.
He made no comments on my persistence and curiosity and answered right away.
"Taehyung's right-hand man," he said with a serious expression, and my face tensed up.
Jin was the boss's right-hand man? ... Oh shit, he's more important than I thought.
"Be careful with him, he's also our superior even though he's subordinated to Taehyung," Jimin told me.
I nodded.
Suddenly, Taehyung and Jin came toward us. When the two men were standing before us, I lowered my eyes in front of my boss.
"What kind of attitude is that? Look up, young man." Jin told me, with a voice that was new to me.
