Downtown Seoul was beautiful this afternoon. The Christmas period was approaching, the streets were lit by fairy lights, giant fir trees and all the advertising posters seemed more colorful and bright to me. But it was also because of the weather; the sky was gray, and a fine snow fell on the top of my head and the hood of my new coat.
New coat, yes, because I had just bought it in a store down the street.
Impatient, I rushed to put on some clothes and put my old coat in the bag.
"Jungkook look, there's a skewer stand. Shall we go there? I'm so hungry. -I follow you."
Daejung happily walked towards said beef and chicken stand, and I had to admit I was already salivating.
A few minutes later, we were walking the streets of Seoul again and our skewers were well underway. Chicken and snow flavored skewers, by the way.
On this wintery Saturday, I suggested to my mother's boyfriend that we go shopping and walk around the city center, and especially buy Christmas presents. But I also realized that I needed new clothes.
I had gained weight, but not only that. The muscles seemed to be slowly appearing, and even though I had only been working with Jimin for a few days, the latter had assured me that I would quickly gain muscle thanks to my thin body.
I hadn't really gained muscle, it wasn't visible to the naked eye, but I had a feeling of renewed energy. My colleague actually took me to the gym now.
"You have to traumatize your muscle, especially since you're very thin. The first weeks, you'll build muscle as fast as lightning haha." This is what my colleague told me a few days ago. And then, beyond that, I just wanted to get dressed a little; It's been a while since I bought new clothes, and I had to admit that for a young person my age, having new shoes, three new jeans, a winter coat and new sweaters was almost as good as eating a good meal.
Almost. In short, I think I really needed this day. Because I didn't even remember the last time I had really taken care of myself, and I had to admit that when I walked past store windows and saw my reflection, I felt good. Really good. But one thing was missing for two days.
Taehyung seemed to go out of his way for the network. He had a lot of work at the moment, and I had only slept at his house once. Nothing had happened, apart from a few long, languorous kisses. He was too tired, I could see it in his dark circles, that's why I loved watching him fall asleep before me. See him immersed in sleep; I didn't know anything more satisfying.
"No, but that's unbelievable, look where you're pedaling, sir! Do you know how much I paid for these jeans?" Daejung exclaimed.
A cyclist had rolled over a puddle next to the sidewalk and my mother's boyfriend now had large drops of water on his shoes and pants. I started to laugh softly when I saw him get angry.
"It doesn't matter, it's water from the melted snow. It will dry out." I chuckled.
"Scoff yeah." He grunted gently.
I had actually asked Daejung to accompany me, because the latter had complained the day before that he had not been able to go out all week because of work.
My mother was resting at our house; she hadn't wanted to come today. She hated the cold and preferred to hibernate with big warm duvets on the living room sofa, watching romantic series until midnight. Daejung and I often made fun of each other, making bets on what she was watching at that very moment. Then we would check the TV programs on the internet, and the one who lost had to pay for the other's food.
I had won every time.
Daejung hated me.
"Well, it's really starting to snow, do you want to come home warm? Plus we have everything we need, right? I have the gift for your mother, you too, and I bought yours with The latter suggested to me, his hands rubbing together to warm up. -Yes, and don't think I'm going to forget you, eh, I took something from you earlier without you even seeing it. I smiled mischievously. -Oh, the deceiver." He said, narrowing his eyes and smirking.
