"We are going to sleep?" I nodded, slowly detaching myself from Taehyung, exhausted.
We talked for another good hour, about this and that, and this intimate and personal atmosphere did me a world of good. I felt at home when I was here. And especially in his arms, to tell the truth.
I watched him grab a t-shirt from his closet, picking up the one he had dropped on the floor earlier, and quickly put it on, ruffling his blonde hair nicely.
I bit my lip and suddenly an idea popped into my head. My heart raced as I was both excited and anxious.
The Christmas present for my boss. I had completely missed it, even though I had it right now in my coat pocket, which was downstairs.
"Taehyung, I..." I fiddled with my fingers, anxious. How was he react? And then... I hadn't overdone it?
The blond gave me a questioning look and I felt myself blush, unable to stay calm; I was way too scared by his reaction.
After all, it was the first gift I gave him. Rather than say anything, I turned quickly and walked out of the room.
Without waiting, I rushed down the stairs to reach my winter coat in the hall and plunged my hand into the pocket. I took out the small box and opened it to take one last look at my gift.
It wasn't much; a silver bracelet, very thin, with a tiny crown that hung half a centimeter. I had paid really dearly for it, but I didn't lack the money, and I couldn't see myself offering money if it wasn't real to Taehyung, the very embodiment of luxury, both in terms of what he held only by his person. In my opinion, my boss was rich in every way, but especially rich from the inside. And I was sure that I still had hundreds and hundreds of things to discover about him.
Satisfied but anxious, I walked back up the steps slowly, my hand closed on the box, which I hid behind my back. My lower lip was pinched tightly by both of my incisors, and when I pushed the door open, I found Taehyung sitting on the bed, phone in hand.
"Why did you leave so quickly?" He questioned me, putting his cell phone on the bedside table.
I had a shy little smile when I saw him take a look at my left arm, which hid the bracelet behind my back."I... do you remember when I told you that I saw Jin? That day, I took a ride with Daejung and... Well-" I cut myself off when I saw him grit his teeth and cross his arms, adopting a rather masculine posture after hearing the name of my mother's boyfriend. I tilted my face to the side.
"What's the matter with him...?" I almost whispered, making my pupils juggle with his.
The blond didn't respond, and I huffed as I approached slowly. He relaxed a little when I was close, and his hands rested on my hips. He wanted to push me onto his knees but I resisted.
"Hold on." I whispered. I hesitated for a second longer, before closing my eyes and reaching out my hand towards him. Eyelids closed, I didn't see his reaction, but the silence worried me a little.
About ten interminable seconds pass before my superior finally deigns to grab the box, brushing my fingers with his. I let go of the container and kept my eyes tightly closed, not daring to see the blonde's surprised face, but his voice broke the silence.
"Are you planning to keep your eyes closed until tomorrow? I have something for you too." I suddenly opened my eyes, displaying a very surprised look on my face.
He bought me... A gift? I observed his soft and amused features as he slowly opened the box without taking his eyes off me.
"It's n-no big deal, I mean I didn't- -It is a pleasure." He said that without even looking at what the box contained, which touched me so much that this time I couldn't prevent a big smile from taking over my bitten lips.
