I stared at my tray dubiously, then glanced at Hoseok. I had to eat, I had to force myself, otherwise he was going to suspect something. His curiosity must have already been piqued a few days ago, when he saw me being accompanied by Taehyung to my house.

"You are not hungry ?" I quickly looked up at him, my expression somewhat panicked.

We were currently at a fast food restaurant in downtown Seoul. I had suggested this to Hoseok because he had been asking me for a while to meet up and, what's more, he deserved that I give him a meal.

"Yes, yes. Bon appetit." I huffed, looking down at my food.

I've been eating with Daejung and my mom since I got back and I've been eating properly with Taehyung, so there's no reason why I can't do that with my friend, right?

The latter gave me a curious look, before starting his meal. My uncertain pupils looked down again at my hamburger and I had a moment of doubt, of reflection, which did not last very long because I did not want to arouse suspicion in my friend. So, I grabbed my food and brought it to my lips. The smell came to my nostrils and, unsurprisingly, I felt sick. I put everything back on the tray, wondering how I was going to eat in front of Hoseok. I couldn't do it, not without Taehyung or my mother and Daejung.

However, just as the panic of Hoseok finding out about my nutrition problem seemed to increase, my phone vibrated in my pocket. I glanced at my friend, who was quietly nibbling his fries without really noticing my state. I then opened the message I had just received by licking my lips.

A pleasant burst of warmth invaded my chest in a warm, warm shiver when I saw that it was my superior who had contacted me. Instantly, this delicious feeling erased my nausea, and only Taehyung remained in my mind as I read his words.

By: Taehyung: 'How is your hip?'

I held back from smiling because Hoseok was still in front of me - I could feel his curious pupils on my cell phone - and answered quickly.

To: Taehyung: 'I'm managing, thanks for your concern.'

My phone was put away and I bit into my hamburger while thinking about the blonde's message. Why had he asked me if my hip was better all of a sudden? Did he want me to come back to work?

"Ah well you're finally eating, I was wondering all along how you managed not to throw yourself at the food." Hoseok laughed softly. I froze, my cheeks full.
Slowly, I looked down at my hamburger, which had two large bites. I didn't even realize I had started eating. I then swallowed my mouthful while staring at my friend's chest, surprised by my own actions. I had started eating the moment I received the message from Taehyung, right?

A smile that I thought I could call goofy and idiotic took place on the lower half of my face, making Hoseok grimace humorously.

"What's that face, are you so happy to eat that? -You have no idea how much." I knew that he cannot understand the double meaning of my sentence. He just laughed and my smile didn't leave me for many minutes.

Hoseok and I talked about things and other things, especially classes, but I had the impression that he remained distant in his comments, as if he didn't want to taunt me about the fact that he had good grades, and that he worked well because I was now out of school.

I didn't want him to think that I might be jealous or envious of him, he was a close friend, but I had to admit that I had trouble talking about university. It was a strange feeling knowing that i had more or less been rejected by our own school. So the conversation quickly drifted to my work, without me really controlling the thread.

"Have you ever danced in a club before? -No, I always did this alone in my room, with my headphones. It is enough for me; I had already tried school once, when I was younger, and the level was too low for me. -I see. In any case, having a little job doing what you love is really cool. I hope I can come one day!" He smiled kindly at me.
