A heavy silence hung over the car, the latter parked in front of my house. Taehyung had both hands on the steering wheel, his eyes fixed in front of him, as if he was still driving even though it must have been a good thirty seconds since the vehicle had stopped moving.
I swallowed hard, uncomfortable, and slowly pulled away.
After what I discovered in the computer, I didn't try to understand.
Instead of panicking, I quietly waited for Taehyung to come out of the bathroom. When he was in front of me again, in the living room, I simply walked past him to go upstairs and get dressed. Then I came back down, and he looked at me, surprised.
Slowly but surely, his eyebrows furrowed, and he knew something was wrong when I asked him, my voice trembling, to take me home.
Strangely, he didn't hesitate, even if his movements were a little jerky, his expression upset and lost. Surely he must have been thinking of some other reason for my sudden departure. I wanted to talk to him about it, tell him that I knew everything, but... I was afraid of him now. If he found out I knew, who knows what he would do to me? He would probably stop manipulating me, and therefore stopping being kind and gentle to me.
Maybe he would be as cruel as Jiho, although I had a hard time believing it. No, all Taehyung wanted was to money. I wouldn't go so far as to say he would hurt me on purpose. In fact, I didn't know anything. I did not understand anything.
A slight movement on the part of my superior made me meet his eyes which shone with a surprised and almost anguished glow. It would have broken my heart if I didn't know the truth.
"Jungkook. I'm sorry if that's..." He ran a hand through his hair, as if annoyed and confused at having to apologize for something he didn't understand.
"If it's because I went too far, in the shower." I gave a bitter smile that made him frown heavily.
"You don't want to talk to me? Are you just going to leave without explaining?"
"Explain to me?!" I inhaled sharply through my nose to calm myself down, heart and voice trembling.
My hands were sweaty, and I felt tears welling up in my eyes. My pupils were lost on my thighs. There was a reason, wasn't there? If Taehyung wanted to leave me in Kang-Dae's hands, did that mean he was playing with me all this time? He had touched me without even considering the fact that it would break me afterwards?
I jumped a little and closed my eyes, putting a hand over my mouth as I felt the sobs coming.
"Jungkook, you..." I heard Taehyung breathe, as if really shocked to see me crying.
I slowly opened my eyelids when his hand came to wipe my cheek, and I let myself do so despite myself. One last time.
"If you didn't consent..." I froze when his voice cracked. My face turned towards him and I saw him clench his fists tightly, lowering them to his thighs. And then, strangely, I saw him caressing his stomach, his movements slow, as if he were nauseous. His gaze quickly collided with her two thighs, and I knew his brain was overheating.
"Sir." I sobbed, my voice feverish, low.
He looked at me sharply, and I waited no longer; I pushed my belt to get rid of it completely and I suddenly straddled him. My two legs on either side of his thighs, my hands placed on the seat behind him. But the blond didn't touch me, remaining frozen in place. I stared at his lips, while tears continued to descend on my reddened cheeks.
One last time.
No, I couldn't do that. If I kissed him goodbye, I wasn't going to be able to walk away.
