Hadeki's POV
Now with my entire body functions properly required, I took to the streets of Inazuma without any time to waste. There was no point in hiding my identity now, I made it very obvious on where I'm going and being discrete would only make it more suspicious.
On my way to the heart of Inazuma City, I did obviously meet many people who were flocking me. Though all was in light heart, the people of konda village greeted and cheered for my presence with such kindness, but I made sure to request them not to make any high announcements of my moving.
I did not want to be delayed.
Some walking later, I found myself quietly standing and gazing upon the statue of the Omnipresent God. The sockets and engravings that once held the passion and ambitions of the people...their visions, all gone. With it's intended purpose now gone, some would look at this standing stone as an empty vessel...to myself, it is a potential symbol of a new chance, change and promise.
Standing atop the wooden boards for it's construction that were never removed, I turned around and looked back at the city behind me. I've basked in it's glory many times before, but after the reign of hell I had been through to sustain this glory...it feels...freeing.
"Ayyy!! Look who it is!"
I look down to see none other than Arataki Itto at the base of the statue, waving his hand at me with brimming excitement, accompanied by his usual companion Shinobu and a few others.
I jump off and meet the group down at the base.
"General Obiyash, nice ring to it." Itto remarked as we shake hands.
"It's good to see that you're well, Master Hadeki." Shinobu bowed, the three men behind her did so as well.
"Please, I'm not duty bound just yet, speak of me as nothing but another ally." I dismissed her.
"Still! Celebrations are due, alright! With the ground breaking help of the Arataki gang, the once glorious nation of Inazuma is back to the way it was!" Itto cheered.
"Well the only tipping point to lifting the Vision Hunt Decree was Hadeki's part in it all, if he hadn't gotten the Shogun's attention, all of this would have been for nothing. Who knew such a man standing before us would defeat a deity..." Shinobu shrugged.
"Heyyyy! What's with the pessimistic downplay? The entire resistance asked for OUR help and fought with us! You did pretty good with fighting at the front lines too ya know!" Itto retorted.
I couldn't help but laugh at the sight before me. Lively souls conversing with me under the sunlight in what used to be a dark and tarnished land.
"Haha...Itto is right miss Shinobu. Every single person who stood with us that day was the key to success. Had it not been for the promises, the ambitions and will of all of you behind me, I would have lost my ground... everyone had their own part to play in this war and we prevailed and for that..." I smile as I place my hand on my chest and bow before them. "You all have my thanks and gratitude."
"W-woah! Hey now c'moonnnn! No need to overdo it! We all had the same goals!" Itto panicked and tried to stop me. "Instead, we should be going all out at the restaurants! Come on! I need to introduce you to the gang to-"
"I truly appreciate your offer young Arataki but I must be on my way." I raise my hand.
"Must you?" Shinobu asked. "It feels deserved after everything that's happened."
"And celebrations will indeed take place. However, there are still things I need to do, for starters, I'm heading to meet the Shogun now."
"Hoof! You don't sit around do ya'?!" Itto puffed his chest and laughed. "Alright fine! Just be sure to come see us! The shogunate still sees us as nothing but trouble makers! Once they get a look at our buddy being the general, we'll- OW!" Itto was nudged in the stomach once again.
