Salem's Domain

Salem was walking through the shadowy halls of her dark castle, her footsteps echoing against the cold, stone floors. The torches on the walls flickered with an eerie, pale flame, casting dancing shadows along the walls. Suddenly, a Seer Grimm floated towards her, its many eyes shifting and moving like swirling ink. The creature stopped before her, and the image of Dr. Watts appeared within its spherical body.

"Watts... speak," Salem commanded, her voice calm but filled with authority.

"Mistress..." Watts began, his voice tinged with both excitement and nervousness. "We have found the Maiden, the Spring Maiden. We have finally pinpointed the location, thanks to the information obtained from Qrow."

Salem's lips curled into a sinister smile. "Excellent," she purred, her eyes glowing with malevolent delight. "Find her immediately. Negotiate with her. Find ways to convince her to come with you willingly... But if she won't budge, force her. The relic is our top priority... Understood?"

"Understood," Watts replied, bowing his head slightly. "I will see to it personally."

Salem chuckled softly, the sound low and dangerous. "Bring Emerald and Mercury with you. They are no longer Cinder's disciples; they work for me now. Treat them as equals."

"Yes, Madam," Watts said before the Seer Grimm closed its eyes, and the image faded. The creature floated away silently, leaving Salem alone in the dimly lit corridor.

As she continued her stroll through the castle, Salem's mind was already calculating her next move. The relic was within her grasp, and soon, she would possess the power to reshape the world.

Outside, Mistral

It had been a few days since Team RWBY and their allies had settled in Mistral. The group had taken to training in a quiet, secluded area just outside their temporary home-a small, grassy clearing surrounded by tall, swaying trees. The early morning sun was just beginning to rise, casting a golden hue over the landscape. The cool breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers and fresh earth, providing a stark contrast to the intensity of their training.

Ruby and Sasuke stood at the center of the clearing, facing each other. The air was filled with the sounds of nature mingled with the exertion of combat.

"HYAA!" Ruby yelled as she lunged at Sasuke with a powerful punch. However, Sasuke effortlessly dodged her attack, moving with fluid grace. As Ruby's momentum left her wide open, Sasuke swiftly flicked her forehead.

"ACK-!" Ruby exclaimed, staggering back from the unexpected attack. She quickly regained her balance and rushed at Sasuke again, determination etched on her face. She threw a flurry of punches and kicks, trying desperately to land a blow, but Sasuke evaded each one with ease. When Ruby overextended on a high kick, Sasuke seized the opportunity and landed a solid hit to her abdomen, sending her sprawling to the grassy ground.

"Oof-!" Ruby groaned as she hit the ground. She was thankful for her aura, which absorbed most of the impact, but she still felt the sting.

"Enough!" Ozpin's voice cut through the clearing, signaling the end of the sparring session. His expression was calm but firm, his eyes sharp as he assessed the fighters.

Sasuke extended a hand to Ruby. "Sorry, Ruby. You were too open," he said matter-of-factly.

Ruby took his hand with a sheepish smile. "Yeah, I know... I'm practically useless without my weapon," she chuckled, dusting off the dirt and grass from her skirt.

Ozpin, currently inhabiting Oscar's body, approached them with a thoughtful expression. He nodded, acknowledging their efforts. "Sasuke, your hand-to-hand skills are remarkable. Throughout my many lifetimes, I've rarely seen such a unique fighting style. Tell me, how did you come to learn it? Who was your teacher?"
