Team RWBYS' Dorm Room, Atlas Academy
The dim light of dusk filtered through the curtains, casting soft shadows across the dorm room. Sasuke sat at a sturdy table at the corner of the room, focused intently on his task. The quiet hum of activity outside was a distant murmur, but inside, the room was filled with the soft scratching sound of a brush against parchment.
He had been working on the seal for hours, his hands moving with precision as he carefully inscribed the complex symbols onto the paper. The seal was intricate, designed specifically to nullify Salem's control over the Grimm. Every line, every stroke mattered. This was no ordinary seal-it was a key component in their strategy against the most powerful enemy Remnant had ever faced.
As Sasuke meticulously painted the last few characters, he heard the dorm door gently creak open. He didn't look up immediately, but he sensed who it was before she even spoke.
"Hey, Sasuke," came Weiss's soft voice from the doorway.
Sasuke glanced up, offering a brief nod of acknowledgment. "Weiss."
She stepped inside, her footsteps light as she approached him, her eyes narrowing with curiosity as she saw the parchment spread out before him. "What are you working on?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
"The seal," Sasuke replied, his focus returning to the paper. "I'm finalizing it."
Weiss moved closer, leaning over his shoulder to get a better look. The lines on the paper were precise, every stroke deliberate. The symbols seemed almost alive, vibrating with latent energy. She could feel the weight of its power, even though it wasn't activated yet.
"How's it going?" she asked quietly, her voice filled with genuine curiosity.
"Almost done," Sasuke answered, his brush hovering just above the paper. "Just a few more strokes and it'll be ready."
Weiss watched in silence as Sasuke continued his work, the room growing quieter with each passing moment. His hand moved with a steady confidence, his eyes never leaving the seal. She was always amazed at his focus, how he could shut out everything else and hone in on a single task with such intensity.
Minutes ticked by, each one feeling longer than the last. Weiss could see a bead of sweat forming on Sasuke's brow, his concentration unwavering as he made the final adjustments. Finally, with one last deliberate stroke, he finished the seal.
Sasuke exhaled deeply, a small sigh of relief escaping his lips as he set the brush down and wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand.
"Is it done?" Weiss asked, breaking the silence that had settled over the room.
Sasuke nodded. "Yes. It's ready."
Weiss allowed herself a small smile. "That's great news. So, what's next?"
Sasuke rolled up the parchment carefully, making sure the ink was dry before securing it. "Now that it's finished, I'll need to report this to Ironwood," he replied, standing up from his seat.
Weiss nodded in agreement. "I'll come with you," she said. "The others are out on different missions, and I could use the fresh air."
Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?"
Weiss smiled slightly. "Blake and Yang are busy hunting down a Beowolf in the sewers, and Ruby is with Penny, Qrow, and Clover delivering Dust for the Amity Colosseum project. Besides, it's not like I have anything better to do right now."
Sasuke considered her words for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, if you want to come, I won't stop you."
Weiss grabbed her coat from the back of a chair and slipped it on. "I'll be right behind you," she said, a determined glint in her eyes.
