Taiyang's Residence, Sasuke's Room.

Sasuke slowly opened his eyes, squinting against the bright morning light streaming through the window beside his bed. The sunlight bathed his blanket in a warm glow, forcing him to rub his left eye as he tried to clear the sleep from his vision.

He groaned softly, taking in his surroundings. He was in his room. The familiar sights were comforting, but something felt off. As he tried to recall what had happened, memories flooded back. The Grimm invasion at Beacon, the chaos in Vale, Cinder's immense power as the Fall Maiden... and Pyrrha. She was dead. Sasuke closed his eyes, a sigh escaping his lips.

'Oh... That's right, I killed her... So the Maiden's power must have gone to a new host.' Sasuke thought, his face expressionless as he stretched his neck. He tried to rise from the bed, but his legs gave out beneath him, and he stumbled, quickly grabbing the bedside table to steady himself.

Pain shot through his legs, unexpected and sharp. 'How long was I out?' he wondered, feeling the numbness in his limbs. Judging by the state of his body, he had been asleep far longer than he anticipated... weeks, perhaps even a month. His semblance might have healed his physical injuries, but it hadn't replenished his chakra reserves.

(Note: Sasuke's Semblance is a self-healing ability that activates mostly when he's asleep. His aura glows yellow, accelerating his recovery, but it doesn't regenerate his chakra quickly.)

He steadied himself, managing to stand on shaky legs. As he stretched and yawned, trying to wake his body up, he heard noises from outside-grunting and the sound of fists meeting flesh. Curious, he peeked through the window and saw Yang and Taiyang sparring in the yard, with Zwei watching intently.

"Woof!" Zwei barked, noticing Sasuke at the window.

Sasuke smiled at the sight of his sister and father training together. But his smile faded when he noticed Yang's right arm-a prosthetic metal limb glinted in the sunlight. His heart sank.

Sasuke made his way downstairs, still feeling the weakness in his legs. He went to the kitchen, opening the fridge and grabbing a Pop-Tart. It wasn't his usual choice, but his stomach grumbled, and he knew he needed something to tide him over. He devoured the Pop-Tart quickly, washing it down with a glass of water from the sink.

Just as he finished, the front door opened, and Yang and Taiyang walked in, sweaty and out of breath from their sparring.

They stopped in their tracks when they saw Sasuke. For a moment, the room was silent. Then Yang broke the stillness, her eyes wide with relief and joy. "Sasuke!" she cried, running over and wrapping him in a tight hug.

"Oof-!" Sasuke grunted, feeling his ribs almost crack under her strength.

Taiyang joined the embrace, his expression one of immense relief. "Sasuke... don't scare us like that!" Yang's grip tightened even more.

"Y-Yang-you need to shower... Your sweat's all over me," Sasuke grumbled, his face scrunching up in mock disgust.

Yang quickly let go, laughing. "Oops, sorry!" she said, a sheepish grin spreading across her face. Taiyang chuckled, patting Sasuke on the head.

"Good to see you back, kid," Taiyang said warmly.

Sasuke looked up at his father, his expression serious. "Father... What happened? Where's Ruby?" he asked, searching Taiyang's face for answers. Taiyang's expression darkened, and he exchanged a glance with Yang.

"...Sasuke, let's talk about this after we've cleaned up, okay?" Taiyang replied gently. Sasuke nodded, understanding that whatever it was, it wasn't good news.
