Atlas

Robyn Hill stood at the grand entrance of Atlas Academy, her arms crossed and her eyes narrowed as she gazed up at the imposing building before her. The pristine, polished exterior of the academy felt worlds apart from the crumbling streets of Mantle. She sighed, her frustration barely contained. Her companion, Fiona, stood beside her, the goat Faunus sharing Robyn's apprehension.

"They left Mantle exposed. We're here to make sure they never do it again," Robyn muttered, half to herself, half to Fiona.

Fiona nodded in agreement, her ears twitching nervously. "It doesn't sit right, Robyn. He pulled back the troops... and now the Grimm are getting bolder. Mantle's falling apart."

Robyn's fists clenched. "Exactly. And that's why I'm here. But I'm not about to let Ironwood walk all over us. I don't trust him. He thinks Mantle can just fend for itself while Atlas stays safe behind their walls? Not anymore."

As they approached the entrance, an Atlas soldier stepped forward, leading them into the academy. Robyn's eyes scanned every corner, noting the opulence and security of Atlas compared to the vulnerability Mantle was suffering. The contrast only fueled her resentment.

Inside the academy, they were ushered into a sleek, spacious meeting room. Ironwood stood at the far end of the table, his expression a mask of calm authority. Beside him stood another figure, a young man with messy brown hair and green eyes—Oscar. Robyn had no idea who he was, and frankly, she didn't care.

Ironwood motioned toward the seats, his voice polite but firm. "Robyn. Fiona. I'm glad you could make it."

Robyn, however, wasn't in the mood for pleasantries. She sat down but leaned forward, her eyes locking onto Ironwood's. "Let's cut to the chase, General. You pulled your forces from Mantle, left us wide open. Grimm are swarming the streets, people are scared. I want to know why."

Ironwood remained composed but sighed deeply, the weight of his decisions clear on his face. "I understand your frustration, Robyn. But I had no choice. Atlas is dealing with its own threats, and we needed to consolidate our resources to defend against the greater danger."

"Greater danger?" Robyn scoffed, shaking her head. "Mantle is in danger. You might've forgotten that from your high tower up here, but we haven't."

Fiona then added, "People are losing faith to you, General."

Ironwood's brows furrowed slightly, though he remained calm. "Sasuke and Penny were stationed in Mantle. Together, they have more power than an entire battalion. They're not just Huntsmen—they're more than enough to protect the city."

Robyn leaned forward, her eyes flashing with anger. "You think two of your Huntsmen can protect the whole city by themselves? What kind of monster are you? Mantle isn't some battlefield you can gamble on! Those are real people down there, Ironwood. Families. And you're betting their lives on two soldiers?"

Ironwood exhaled slowly, his voice steady but with a hint of frustration. "I'm not betting anything. Sasuke and Penny are exceptional. They've proven themselves time and again, and they're capable of handling more than you realize."

Robyn's lips curled in disdain. "Exceptional or not, no two people can be everywhere at once. While your 'exceptional' soldiers are dealing with one threat, what happens to the rest of Mantle? What happens when the Grimm hits in multiple places at once? How many lives are you willing to risk to prove your point?"

Ironwood's jaw tightened, but before he could respond, Oscar, standing silently beside him, shifted slightly, drawing Robyn's attention. The young man's expression was calm but thoughtful, as though he was quietly weighing everything being said. He caught Ironwood's glance and nodded, signaling their shared understanding of the bigger picture.
