The room Lucy led us into stood empty, save for the large wardrobe. The longer I gazed at it, the more a sense of peculiarity settled over me.

Susan and Ed thoroughly examined the wardrobe to verify Lucy's claims.

She'd spun a tale about an entire forest existing within this expansive wardrobe and her encounter with a fawn named Mr. Tumnus.

Logically speaking, such a story couldn't possibly be true. Yet, I've always held the belief that children's words often carry profound truths.

Then she mentioned the snow inside the wardrobe, and when I touched her cheeks, they were cold.

So the question remains: If Lucy's words were unfounded, then where did she get those cold cheeks, especially considering the absence of snow here?

"Lucy, the only wood in here is the back of the wardrobe," Susan stated, followed by the elder Pevensie sibling adding, "One game at a time, Lu. We don't all have your imagination."

The three Pevensie siblings regarded her as if she were some kind of lunatic and began to leave. However, Lucy refused to back down.

"But I wasn't imagining!" she yelled, causing her three siblings to come to a halt and turn around.

Feeling caught in the middle of a sibling dispute, I contemplated leaving.

"That's enough, Lucy," Susan said, then she looked at me.

"And do you believe her?" she asked me, as I stood beside her sister.

"Well, I mean, she's your sister, right? You guys should believe what she's saying," I replied without hesitation. Susan just scoffed and shook her head gently.

"And aren't you guys sensing something strange in this room? Or something peculiar about this wardrobe?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at them.

I swear I could sense something in here.

"Cora, what are you talking about? Don't tell me you've also got some wild imagination going on in your head," Peter said, causing me to glare at him.

Just as they were about to leave again, Lucy spoke up.

"I wouldn't lie about this!" Her voice cracked as she struggled to hold back her tears.

The brunette boy then decided to speak up, saying, "Well, I believe you."

I was on the verge of believing him, but it was Ed, so I knew how this would ultimately turn out.

"You do?" Lucy asked her brother, a glimmer of hope in her voice.

"Yeah, of course. Didn't I tell you about the football field in the bathroom cupboards?" he joked, causing me to huff at the boy.

"Now, will you just stop?" Peter interjected, clearly fed up with the situation. "You always have to make everything worse, don't you?"
