Waking up from a dreamless slumber, I found myself surprised by the quietness that enveloped the surroundings. Observing that the others were still deep in sleep, I quietly rose from my resting place, making my way out of the tomb. Sitting on the edge of a nearby stone, I let my feet dangle freely over the edge, I took in the serene atmosphere, feeling the coolness of the surroundings against my skin.

The place before me was surrounded by fog as the morning was just about to start.

Before me lay a landscape enveloped in a gentle morning fog, the ethereal haze cloaking the surroundings as the day was on the verge of awakening.

"Oh, there you are," I heard Ed's voice from behind, prompting me to turn halfway towards him.

He stood there, his hair tousled from his sleep, an endearing sight that seemed to add to the tranquility of the morning scene.

"Hey, there, Ed," I whispered with a smile as he settled beside me, mirroring my position with his feet dangling over the edge as well. The quietude of the morning seemed to deepen with our shared presence, creating a comforting companionship amidst the tranquil Narnian landscape.

"Glad I found you here," he said softly, his gaze fixed on the scenery spread before us.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Nothing, it's just..." His voice trailed off for a moment. "Worry suddenly rushed through me when I woke up and you weren't there," he admitted, a tinge of concern evident in his words.

"Aww, you really are protective of me," I smiled, reaching out to tousle his tousled chocolate-brown hair affectionately.

"Of course I am," he mumbled, a faint blush coloring his cheeks as he acknowledged the sentiment.

Without another word, I leaned in and rested my head gently on his shoulder, finding comfort in the shared silence as we both gazed out at the serene, fog-laden scenery ahead. The tranquil atmosphere enveloped us, creating a sense of closeness and understanding without the need for words, allowing us to appreciate the peacefulness of the moment together.

As my head rested on his shoulder, the memory of the carving in the cave resurfaced in my thoughts.

"Did it ever cross your mind that I might be the woman depicted siding with the Telmarines on the wall carving?" I inquired softly, pondering the possibility, of seeking his perspective on the enigmatic depiction.

He remained silent for a moment before responding, "No."

"Really?" I murmured, pulling away slightly to look at him, searching his eyes for any hint of certainty.

"Yeah, but... Even if it was you..." he paused, carefully choosing his words as if weighing each one.

"...it wouldn't change a thing," he continued, his gaze meeting mine with a reassuring sincerity. "You've proven your loyalty time and again. I trust you, Cora, more than anything. What's carved on the wall doesn't define who you are to us."
