The Pevensies and Cora gathered around a beautifully set table, the sunlight streaming through the windows of Cair Paravel's dining hall. Delicacies adorned the table, a feast fit for royalty. Laughter and tales from their past adventures filled the air as they enjoyed their meal.

Edmund stole glances at the girl seated across from him, the one who had captured his heart 15 years ago in the magical realm of Narnia. Though his feelings for her had grown over the years, he remained hesitant, unsure if she felt the same way.

A smile graced his lips as he observed her, her laughter in response to his brother's jokes filling the air with warmth and joy. Despite his internal doubts, the sight of her happiness brought a sense of contentment to Edmund's heart, a feeling he treasured amidst the uncertainties.

"Earth to Edmund!" Peter exclaimed, attempting to seize his brother's attention.

"Sorry, what was that?" Edmund replied, jolting from his reverie about the girl, who now regarded him with concern.

"I said, would you consider accepting Princess Ashley's offer of courting you?" Peter asked, teasing his brother, fully aware of Edmund's sentiments toward his best friend.

Indeed, everyone recognized the unspoken connection between the two, evident in the way they looked at each other. There was an undeniable sense of affection between them, apparent to all who observed their interactions.

To everyone's dismay, neither of them made a move.

"Absolutely not!" Edmund replied, wearing a frown on his face, before taking a sip from his cup.

Meanwhile, Cora narrowed her eyes at the brunette Pevensie.

"Why not?" she questioned, a tinge of jealousy evident in her demeanor.

"Because, um..." Ed hesitated, searching for the right words to explain. "Because I'm not quite into that kind of thing yet."

Cora's heart sank at his response, realizing her hopes for a chance with the brunette Pevensie, the one she had fallen for, might not materialize.

Peter cleared his throat, directing his gaze towards Cora. "What about you, Cora? Similar to my question to Ed, but regarding Prince Jake's offer of courting you?"

"Nope, not a chance," Cora replied simply, without any hesitation.

"Well, why not?" Susan interjected, aware of the unspoken connection between the two.
