The once serene blue sky had transformed into a breathtaking hue of gold as our vessel steadily approached the sighted land.

Edmund and I joined Caspian and Drinian on the front deck, drawn by the anticipation of nearing the land.

"The Lone Islands. The port of Narrowhaven," Drinian announced, while Caspian observed the distant shore through a telescope.

After a thoughtful pause, he handed the telescope to Ed, saying, "Strange, not a Narnian flag in sight."

"But the Lone Islands have always been Narnia's," Ed remarked suspiciously, taking the scope from Caspian to peer at the land.

"I suppose that does raise some skepticism," I added, my gaze fixed on the approaching terrain. The absence of the expected Narnian insignia stirred a sense of uncertainty among us, hinting at potential unknown circumstances surrounding the familiar Lone Islands.

As Edmund handed me the telescope after scanning the land, I peered through it, taking in the view. Meanwhile, he took charge of the discussion.

"I say we prepare a landing party. Drinian?" Edmund called out, addressing Drinian for his input on the matter. His decisive tone reflected his readiness to take action and assess the situation on the ground.

"Yup, that sounds like a solid plan," I murmured, my focus still fixed through the telescope lens, observing the approaching land.

"Forgive me, Your Majesties... But the chain of command starts with King Caspian on this ship," Drinian's respectful interjection reached my ears, prompting me to glance away from the scope, my eyebrows raised in surprise at his reminder.

Before I could respond, Edmund stepped in, "Right..."

Caspian proceeded to leave the front deck, with Drinian trailing behind him. Engaged in conversation, Caspian conveyed the need to prepare for a landing party, prompting Drinian to promptly oblige without a moment's hesitation.

As I readied to depart from the front deck, I noticed the brunette Pevensie lingering at his spot, seemingly lost in contemplation for a brief moment.

"Edmund," I softly called out to him, breaking his reverie, and he swiftly snapped out of his thoughts, following my lead as we both made our way down from the deck.

I found myself positioned between Ed and Casp as we made our way toward Lone Island, using the rowboat for our approach. Opposite us were Eustace and Lucy, while the four crew members occupied the space between us, diligently rowing the boat. Meanwhile, Reep stood poised on the edge, overseeing the journey with a vigilant eye.

"Onward. The thrill of the unknown lies ahead," Reepicheep proclaimed as the boat reached the island's shore.

Lucy, eager to explore, was the first to step out of the boat, while Eustace grumbled, "Couldn't we have waited till morning?" voicing his discontent.
