"Yeah. Takes us awhile to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But, let's do a headcount here: your brother, the demigod; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins, and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them." Tony Stark to Loki, The Avengers

The staring showdown between Loki and I continued to boil until I had reached what I would consider my highest limit. I looked back at Johnny who was staring at Loki with wide eyes. I rolled mine before standing. Excusing myself - not that Johnny was really paying any attention - and walked around the back towards the restrooms. I was vaguely aware of Loki calling my name but I wasn't in the mood.

I almost made it too, except hands grabbed me. Turning a landed a punch to Loki, who had walked after me. "Get your hands off me." I hiss and for a moment he looked taken aback by the outburst. "Can't you people get it through your heads that I wanted some time alone?" I pull away from Loki and take a few steps back. He was frowning at me which I kinda hated. I was so used to hearing him laugh or seeing him smile that his frown was not normal.

"Come back Svala." As if my anger wasn't high enough as it was already, it boiled over when I heard that name.

"Andrea. My name is Andrea! Not Svala! Get it right for once!"

"I wouldn't have to if you just accepted who you really are instead of running off and getting yourself drunk! I didn't know that you stooped so low to revert to drinking bloody alcohol!"

"Is that what this is about? You're here to get me to come back, to face the reality of my problem? They sent you didn't they? DIDN'T THEY!?"

"They sent me because they are just as worried about you as I am! You seemed comfortable last night before you left, but something was weighing you down. I could feel it Svala. I'm worried about you. You may have used alcohol this once, but before you know it, you'll be seeking it out for every little problem. I don't want that fate to fall on you."

"Why do you even fucking care? If I was die then you could stop having so much problems with finding me."

"If you were to die then my purpose would be void. I wouldn't have a purpose."

"All I want is to be able to have some time to myself in times such as this. If I wanted to talk to you or any of the Avengers then I would have sought you out."

"Really? Is that why you ran when they found out that you were the one who stole a bottle from Stark's cabinet?"

"THAT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! I wanted to escape my problems the only way I knew how! Maybe what I did was slightly illegal and maybe I regretted it afterwards, but for even that smallest amount of time, I felt normal."

"Don't you understand Svala? You will never be normal."

"Gee I hadn't noticed. Thanks for pointing that out. My life was normal before you entered it!"

"We've already had this conversation."

"I don't care Loki! How many times will I have to say it to get it through that thick head of yours?! I. Want. To. Be. Normal!"

"Normal is not something you can have! Come back to the Tower. That's all I ask."

"I'm not going back."

"Yes. You are."

"No I'm not!" Before I could process anything, Loki had picked me up like a sack of potatoes, flinging me carelessly over his shoulder before walking out of the café. "Loki! Put me down!" He ignored me. I beat against his back for quite a while, exhausting myself. By the time we got back to the Tower, I was hanging limply over his shoulder, staring at the ground.
