"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." Dr. Seuss

It's been almost two months now. Living in England, in Steven's parent's house, was definitely different to living in the Tower with the Avengers. It felt homier than the Tower did and I must admit I prefer the life I'm living at the moment as opposed to the one I used to live. Flying internationally is one of the best things that I could have done.

At this current moment in time, Steven and I were sitting in his parent's living room, the fire going as it was pouring down with rain outside, and a mug of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows each. I've loved it here, mostly because Steven is here with me, but his parents have been very supportive and parental towards me as well, as if I was a part of their family. Loki and I have been writing to one another the old fashioned way, good old pen – or pencil – to paper. I love hearing what he's doing and I'm sure he likes getting my letters and postcards in return. For an older than time god, he sure is up to date with modern things.

"Okay, you're turn." Oh and I forgot to mention that we – Steven and I – were taking it in turns to talk about random things that happened during our life. I had just gone so it was his turn.

"When I was seven, I was at one of my friend's houses and we tried to make cookies for his mum for her birthday, which also happened to be that same day. We didn't know how to turn the oven on so we used a fry pan to cook them." I giggle before taking a sip out of my mug. "When she came downstairs to check on us, we were covered in flour and had made an absolute mess of her kitchen. We got off easy though since we were just trying to make her something special, and she helped us make a better batch properly."

"For some reason I just can't imagine you as a little kid. Also I thought that you were over 100 years old." I gave him a look.

"Ovens have been around a while."

"I'm pretty sure that they still hadn't come in until the early 20th century though. Your story has a flaw." Steven sighs.

"Okay so that didn't really happen. Whenever I've spoken to someone about my childhood, I've always made seem at least a little modern otherwise they'd start questioning why I was talking about an age well and truly past." I place a hand on his and look at him.

"So I'm in a relationship with an old fart?" I ask as I place down my mug, away from my knees so that I didn't knock it over.

"An old fart? Is that all I am to you?"

"Well in theory you're old enough to be my great grandfather."

"Shut up." I playfully shove his shoulder before I'm tackled to the floor, a squeal leaving my lips. I look up at Steven, who had the audacity to smirk at me.

"Why are you attacking me kind sir? What is my crime?"

"Being so damn beautiful." He whispers, leaning his forehead against mine. His answer had caught me off guard and I felt heat flood my cheeks again. Over the past two months, Steven would say something sweet every day and it was always randomly placed but I loved them. I smile at him.

"Thank you Steven."

"My parents have organized a reservation at a restaurant for dinner tonight for the four of us."

"Do I have to dress fancy?" As much as I loved the man, I hated dressing up. I'm surprised that I managed to get into that dress when I first met his parents.

"Not fancy... Mum will help you. She wants to spend the afternoon with you before we head out to dinner."

"That'll be nice. I haven't really spent any time with your mum since we got here. You've been taking up all my time."
