"You didn't see that coming?" Pietro Maximoff, Age of Ultron

Falling.

I guess that's all I can do when I've been let go of from the top of a tall structure. I definitely didn't see it coming until it was too late, but I guess I that's what I get for insulting him and his family. Not that I really take it back considering the fact I wasn't really talking about him and his sister. He just must have thought I work alone or something. If that's true why do I live in Avengers Tower with the most egotistical males on the face of the planet and the most uptight queen of bitchiness: Natasha Romanoff.

Right, now back to my current dilemma. Honestly I thought I would have hit the water by now. That hadn't happened though, not yet anyway.

Just before I hit the surface of the River, I was knocked off course. I still landed in the water, but not at the same velocity that I would have. Kicking my way to the surface and taking a large gulf of air, I tread water and look around, water sticking to my face like a giant black octopus.

A head came up out of the water not too long after I did. I recognized the blonde mop of hair and smiled a little when I saw Johnny swim towards me. "A heads up might be nice next time Johnny." He sneezes.

"Sure. Next time you're falling to your death, I'll fly right beside you providing a running commentary of what is going to happen." I roll my eyes at him before swimming to the bank of the river. Johnny followed after me, steam rising off him in billows as he brought his core temperature up. "Come on. I'll take you home."

"Um, in case you don't know this, I can't withstand fire Flame boy." He shook his head with a smile before motioning to a motorbike near the road. A Harley Davidson Street 500; black with flames on it. "Flames. Really?"

"Well I gotta have something to do with my personality now don't I? Otherwise it's just an ordinary bike like every other ordinary bike in New York. You don't like it?"

"I never said I didn't like it. Can I drive?" He raised an eyebrow and raked his gaze over me.

"Not in that you're not." I looked down, having forgotten that I was in a ridiculous skirt and an over revealing top. "Come on." He led me to the bike and got on before telling me to do the same thing. Sitting behind him, I wrapped my hands around his waist as he revved the engine, speeding back towards the Tower.

The wind had sorta dried me off by the time we got back to the Tower. Without waiting for Johnny, once the bike was parked, I dashed for the elevator from the underground parking, taking it to the floor that my room was on.

I felt edgy, not sure why, but I jumped when the elevator doors dinged to tell me that I was at the floor that I needed to be on. Running down the hallway, I get to my room, open the door and fall to the ground, having barreled into Zachery as he was coming out of my room. We stay on the floor in a heap until a cleared throat broke the silence and both Zachery and I scrambled to our feet.

Looking at the door, I glare at Stark as he has a knowing look on his face. "Well-"

"You say one more word and I'll castrate you." I threaten before walking to the wardrobe.

"Hey, may as well not deny the attraction you two seem to have." I grabbed a small statue of Iron Man that Stark had given me a while ago and throw it at him, smirking when I hear that I was successful.

"Fuck! That hurt!" I blink.

"Oh I'm sorry, you're still here?" I ask with mock innocence. "Maybe if you learnt to keep your mouth shut it wouldn't have been such a problem." I snap before grabbing some clothes from the wardrobe and storming into the bathroom, slamming the door in my wake.
