Nahida & Wanderer In HXH

Such a group of people was suspicious, in every way you looked at it. Nahida kept her observations to herself, not wanting to offend the group in case they were dangerous. She used Wanderer's shoulders to move up, huddling closer and started whispering while pretending to fix his hat.

"Wanderer, do you remember the group Kite told us about?"

He raised a brow at her actions, but simply leaned in so they could talk.

"The assholes that sell endangered species?"

She nodded, and gestured with her head that they should sit down like nothing had happened. He did exactly that, placing her down and grabbing the tea cup she offered him. Nahida made Neo disappear now that it wasn't needed and spoke plainly to Wanderer.

"We should be careful. The auction has brought dangerous people to York New."

Wanderer nodded. He waited a couple of minutes where Nahida didn't say anything else, and slowly finished his new tea. The topic wasn't brought up again, and that made him smile slightly in victory.

Nahida saw his little grin and spoke with a soft smile.

"I haven't forgotten our conversation."

"Tch..."

Nahida laughed at his reaction and simply leaned on the table while watching Gon work. Since she didn't mention it anymore, Wanderer fully relaxed. 

Killua yawned and found her gaze. She smiled, and he grinned back with a small wave.

A couple of minutes later, Leorio called off the auction. Nahida watched the kids sigh in relief and exhaustion. Gon turned to them and hurried over with a big grin. Stretching his sore shoulder and smiling at Hat Guy while Killua tried to close the box surrounding the giant diamond.

He frowned and tried to do it gently...

"We're done!"

Leorio nodded while counting their hard cash. That unique, money smell made Nahida hum while he counted each bill with speed.

"Great cash, still not enough, though."

Killua had enough of being unable to close it and slammed the cover onto the diamond. The sound made Leorio flinch and snap his head towards him.

"Treat it gently! That cost me a fortune!"

Killua didn't even look at him, just throwing the box to Leorio, who hurried to grab it. He turned to Nahida.

"You two have a hotel room yet? We're all in the same one."

Nahida glanced at Wanderer, and at seeing his small nod, she also agreed. Killua smiled and gently grabbed her hand while leading her across the street.

"Wait up."

Wanderer didn't let them get far before he lifted Nahida onto his shoulders. Making Killua let out an 'eeeh...' in disappointment.

But one tug from Gon and a pleading look from both kids, and a small Goddess who matched their puppy eyes... Made him yield and place Nahida down once more.

The kids cheered and circled Nahida before they each grabbed one of her hands. Talking and sharing stories while leading her forward.

"Gon fought Hisoka again. But of course, the clown won."

Killua said so simply, taking his hand back and leaning his head on his hands. Gon nodded with a small smile.

"Still, I punched him so hard, Killua said his brain had to reset!"
