The First Dinner

The ladies' maids came in to prepare Aquata for dinner by dressing her in a white with purple and gold accents dress and styled her hair in a braid crown into a bigger braid with purple and gold and white ribbon incorporated into the big braid. Then after all that she had a crown placed onto her head and secured, this dinner is important to Aquata's image as all the diplomats and delegates and ambassadors would be there for her presentation as Loki's betrothed, all eyes would be on her tonight and reality was hitting hard in this moment right before Loki joined her by her side so they could walk in to the dinner together, "are you ready my pet?" Loki asked calmingly and sweetly, "as ready as I'll ever be I guess love." Aquata replied, then she felt Loki grab and squeeze her hand so she knew he was still there and will always be there for her. The double doors of the dining hall opened and there it was, all of Aquata's future in front of her and they were staring to see if she messed up in any way. "Here we go pet" Loki stated as he stepped into the room with Aquata, the Matradee announced "Now presenting his royal highness Prince Loki Laufeyson of Asgard, and his betrothed Lady Aquata Neilsdottir." As Aquata walked to her seat next to Loki, Thor smiled from the head of the table towards Loki and Aquata as they took their seats next to him and Hela across from Loki who snuck a thumbs up to Aquata as she sat down.

Aquata sighed she had made it through the walk to the seats through the sea of eyes looking at them, next was dinner. The dinner was the traditional roasted pig on a spit over an open pit, with mashed potatoes and roasted mixed vegetables. Mead was served in traditional fashion for an Asgardian feast, Aquata politely refused and just had water to drink with her dinner. As they feasted Aquata tried her best to fit in but being from Midgard made it hard sometimes for her to participate in Asgardian style feasts and Loki understood he was never one for this style of feast either but it was how he was raised. After the men had destroyed the pig down to just skeleton and drank all the mead up for offer, they stumbled back to their chambers to sleep.

The next day most woke with hangovers the size of Midgard, Aquata knocked on Loki's chamber door and from inside she heard Loki whine "shut up and enter, ohhh I should not have done that so loud" Aquata chuckled to herself and went in and whispered "good morning love, how's your head?" she sat on the edge of the bed and kissed Loki's forehead. "Do me a favor pet, shoot me" Loki whined "and turn off the sun" Aquata smiled "this is what you get for drinking five bottles of mead last night, I can only imagine what you'll be like for your bachelor party tomorrow." Loki winced at the sound of Aquata's soft voice and the thought of having a party in just a day. Though today was no slow day of events either being two days till the wedding the day was booked with public appearances and parades ending with a huge ball to celebrate and she knew Loki was going to have fun with the city of Rochester NY, sitting on his head. "It's time to get ready for the day love." Aquata whispered in his ear, Loki finally rolled over to see Aquata looking like a goddess in the morning sun sitting over him. "I think that I will stay here and admire the view" Loki said as he sat up to kiss Aquata's face, "though I would love it, we must get ready for the balcony viewing and the parade" Aquata replied pulling Loki up and out of bed to help him dress for the day.

"If I must" Loki complained, after finally getting ready Aquata held up Loki and they slowly made their way to the front balcony to where Thor stood looking just as worse for wear as Loki did. Both men winced as they turned towards the bright door that led outside to the front palace balcony where all of Asgard was trying to push to see the newest royal couple in Asgard and to see what the new princess looks like as no one has seen her yet, she arrived at the Bifrost and into a carriage with all the curtains drawn so no one could see her then she was rushed into the palace with a veil covering her head. Then she was not allowed outside the castle walls so her grand reveal was not ruined by a stray camera, the only ones who were allowed to see her was the royal family and the castle staff that worked directly with her.
