I was right, as soon as I walked in the door Bill and Tom were right in front of me.
"Um...hi. Well I'm going to bed." I said and began to walk past them but they both pulled me back.
"Oh no you don't." Tom said.
"Who was that girl? Details!" Bill said excitedly.
"She's just someone I met at the park." I said.
"Ooo." Bill teased.
"It's not like that! Besides I like guys." I said blushing and looked away. I did like just guys right? I thought to myself.
"Bill and I won't judge you if you like her." Tom said.
"Where's Peyton?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"He's upstairs in his room. I think he's getting ready for bed." Bill said.
"Did he eat?" I asked.
"Yes. Now back to the subject at hand. Do you like this girl?" Bill asked.
"I don't know!" I said.
"Bill and I are just watching out for you." Tom said.
"I know, I'm going to bed though." I said and began walking upstairs but Bill stopped me.
"Just wanted to say I love your hair and nails." Bill said with a grin.
"Thanks. Night." I said and went upstairs and knocked on Peyton's bedroom door.
"Peyton?"
"Mommy!" Peyton said and hugged me.
"Were you good for your uncles?" I asked.
"Yes! Uncle Tommy showed me some guitar and uncle Bill did my nails! Aren't they pretty!" Peyton said and showed me his nails that were blue. I sighed. Bill left that out.
"Yeah they are" I said.
"Mommy's pretty too!" Peyton said.
"Thank you, now let's get ready for bed." I said.
"But mommy!"
"Peyton Alexander. It is time for bed. If you get in bed now then mommy will read you a story." I said.
"Okay!" Peyton said and picked a book from his book shelf and got in bed. Halfway through me reading Peter Pan he fell asleep. I kissed his forehead and then headed to my room, took my contacts out and got a shower and changed into my pajamas. I then felt my phone vibrate. I put my glasses on and saw a few texts.
(Text conversation between Courtney and Jenna)
"I enjoyed meeting you today. I know we just met, but would you like to go out on a date Friday night? It doesn't have to be a date if you don't want it to be."
"I would love to, but before we go out I have to tell you something and it might change your mind about going on a date."
"What is it?"
"I have a 4 year old son from a previous relationship. I'm not ready to say much about that relationship, just know it was toxic. Anyway, I understand if you don't want to go out anymore."
"I don't mind. I'd still like to take you out."
"Thank you for understanding my son comes first. What time Friday?"
"7pm?"
"That's fine."
"Wear something nice, but casual :)"
"Okay. Night."
"Night :)"
I then looked to see that I had a text from Yu too.
"Do you seriously think you can keep my son away from me by having your brothers watch him? He's my son and no one else's. This isn't over." I then just put my phone down. I wasn't going to let Yu get to me.
