Chapter 20

My band mates arrived in LA last week! We have been working on some new stuff thanks to my brother Tom! He has been helping us with our new album. The months have just been flying by since we got here! I can't believe it's already July. Luckily though today I had the day off. Tom and Bill were taking Peyton and I out to sight see LA since I haven't really gotten the chance to yet since I got here.
"Ready to see all LA has to offer?" Tom said and I held Peyton's hand.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I said
"Oh there are so many shops, amazing places to eat and just so much lovely things!" Bill said excitedly, clapping his hands in the process.
"Oh my god!" Bill said scaring me.
"What?!" I asked trying to make sure my heart still worked.
"Your birthday is soon!" Bill said as we walked along LA.
"So?" I said.
"So we have to celebrate?!" Bill said
"Bill" I said with a sigh.
"Don't even try to stop him Courtney. It won't happen you should know by now once Bill sets his mind to something he sticks with it." Tom said and I sighed.
"Can we just forget about it for now and you both show Peyton and I around?" I asked
"Sure! Let's go!" Bill said excitedly.
I sighed "I forgot how excited he gets over shopping." I said to Tom.
"Have you met Bill?" Tom said sarcastically
"Mommy?" Peyton asked
"Yes sweetie?" I asked looking down at Peyton.
"Is uncle Bill okay?" Peyton asked
"He's just excited sweetie." I said and walked with Tom as we tried to catch up with Bill.
"Let's go here! Come on! We haven't been to Gucci in forever Tom!" Bill whined.
"Alright! Stop whining!" Tom said
"I'm not whining!" Bill said with a pout.
Peyton giggled at Bill.
"Uncle Bill silly!" Peyton said with a laugh.
"My own nephew is making fun of me! Courtney make him say sorry!" Bill whined.
"Nope!" I said and Tom laughed.
"You're mean!" Bill said pouting
I laughed and we went into Gucci and Bill started looking around like crazy. Tom looked around but wasn't going crazy like Bill. I held Peyton's hand as we looked around. I didn't get anything it was too pricey for me.
"You getting anything?" Bill asked appearing by me with a bag in his hand.
"No it's too pricey for me here Bill." I said
"Nonsense! What you want I'll get it for you and Peyton!" Bill said
"No." I said
"Yes! What you want Courtney? Peyton?" Bill asked
"I said no Bill!" I said
"And I said yes! Listen to your big brother!" Bill said
"Mommy?" Peyton asked
"Yes Peyton?" I said with a sigh.
"Can I get that?" Peyton said pointing to a leather jacket.
When I saw the price my eyes widened. It was nearly 1900 dollars?!
"No Peyton." I said
"But why not?!" Peyton whined
"It's too expensive." I said
"I want it!" Peyton whined
"Here you go little man." Bill said and gave Peyton the jacket.
"Bill! I said no?!" I said in anger and handed the jacket back to him.
"And I said yes?! Let me spoil my nephew!" Bill said
"Enough you two!" Tom yelled getting in between Bill and I.
"I'm his mother and if I say no I mean no!" I yelled
"Mommy. You scaring me." Peyton whimpered
I bent down to Peyton and looked at him sincerely.
"I'm sorry sweetie but mommy just can't afford the jacket right now." I said sadly. Truth was I really couldn't afford it right now, my band's career had barely taken off yet. I just don't have the money yet for this store.
"Okay. I'm sorry mommy." Peyton said. While I was talking to Peyton I didn't see Bill buy the jacket Peyton wanted.
"Hey but I'll tell you what. You know how your birthday is coming up." I said to Peyton.
I didn't see Bill come back and stand by Tom. I didn't even know they were listening to our conversation.
"Yeah." Peyton sniffled.
"Mommy is going to do her best to make sure you have the best birthday. How about Disney?" I said. I know money was going to be tight for a bit after Disney.
"Really?!" Peyton said excitedly.
"Yeah. How about we go get some ice cream." I said
"Yay!" Peyton said and pulled me out of the store.
Bill and Tom followed me being dragged out of the store by Peyton.
"Ice cream!" Peyton yelled and my brothers and I laughed. Bill and Tom then lead us to this ice cream place and we got I ice cream. We then looked around a few more shops and headed back to the house. Once there I got Peyton ready for bed and gave him dinner then put him to bed.
I then left his room and got changed into pajamas and headed into the living room and met up with my brothers.
"Bill listen. I know you want to spoil Peyton but please before you or Tom decide on buying him something please talk to me first about it." I said
"I'm sorry I just want to spoil my nephew!" Bill said.
"I know but when I say no I mean it." I said.
"Okay." Bill said
"Thank you. I'm heading to bed and please do not. I repeat do not throw me a party for my birthday." I said
"Okay night!" Bill said
"Night!" Tom said and I headed to my room. As I headed to bed I didn't see the grin on my brother Bill's face.
