Chapter 22

Courtney's POV
I woke up the next morning to the sound of my phone ringing.
"Hello?" I groaned as I wiped the slumber from my eyes.
"Courtney?" I tensed up as soon as I heard that familiar voice.
"What do you want Yu?"I said annoyed.
"Please don't hang up. I just want to say sorry about our date and please let me see Peyton?" Yu begged.
"I don't know." I said hesitantly and got out of bed and put the phone on speaker as I fixed my hair and brushed my teeth in my bathroom.
"Please let me see him. He's my son too!" Yu yelled.
"Yes he's your son but I have full custody." I said taking the phone off of speaker and headed to the kitchen for breakfast.
"Please let me see my son." Yu begged.
"Why should I?" I said annoyed as finally arrived in the kitchen. Peyton was eating pancakes and Bill and Tom were eating eggs and having their morning coffee. Bleh. I thought to myself. Tom acknowledged me first and I waved then waved at Bill and kissed the top of Peyton's head.
"Courtney I didn't want to do this but if you do not let me see Peyton I will be forced to take legal action." Yu said.
"You wouldn't!" I yelled with tears starting to form in my eyes. Bill and Tom both noticed my scared expression but didn't say anything.
"I will. I know that you struggle raising him. I know your band has barely started out and is barely making any money right now. I make more than enough money to provide for Peyton. Tell me who do you think the court's are going to give primary custody to?" Yu said.
"Please don't do this." I said and fell to the floor sobbing.
Bill and Tom both got out of their seat and ran to my side.
"I will if I have to. If you let me see my son I won't have to do this." Yu said.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked Yu.
"I love you Courtney and I love Peyton which is why I want to see him. If you would believe me about not liking Sandy I wouldn't have to do this. I'm coming to LA in two days and I will see my son!" Yu said.
"I hate you!" I yelled into the phones
"I love you too! I'll see you and Peyton in two days." Yu said and hung up.
As soon as I hung up I broke down. Why would Yu do this to me? He knows how much Peyton means to me. He wouldn't actually take me to court would he?
"Who was that? What's wrong?" Bill asked worriedly and hugged me to his chest.
"Y-Yu" I stuttered.
"What did he want?!" Tom yelled.
"He's coming to LA in two days. He said if I-I d-didn't l-let h-him see Peyton h-he would fight f-for custody." I sobbed into Bill's chest.
"I'm gonna kill him! He can't do this!" Tom yelled in anger.
"Technically he can. He is Peyton's father." Bill said
"Not helping Bill." Tom said as I cried harder.
"Right. Sorry." Bill said.
"H-he said h-he knows my band is barely starting out and I b-barely make any money. H-he knows if w-we went to court they would see me as an unfit parent. I can't lose Peyton. I can't!" I sobbed more and broke down into Bill's shirt.
"Shh it's going to be okay." Bill said trying to comfort me.
"How do you know?! Yu has me wrapped around his finger with that little threat!" I yelled at Bill as tears ran down my face.
"We'll fight this." Bill said
"Bill is right. We can fight this." Tom said sitting on my other side.
"And we'll win. Tom and I would both defend you. Yes you don't have a lot of money starting out with your band but you will once it takes off." Bill said
"Yeah I know but I'm talking about right now. I can't lose him. I mean I may have made a mistake and had him when I was young but Peyton is the best thing that has happened to me. I can't lose him." I said as my tears continued to fall.
Bill wiped my tears with his hand.
"Bill is right we both will defend you. Courtney I know we have never really gotten along but I see how you are with Peyton. You may not always be able to give him everything that he wants but you always put himself and his happiness before your own. You are a great parent. If Yu thinks that he can take Peyton away from you and his favorite uncles he's dumb." Tom said and I giggled.
"Thanks." I said and hugged Tom and then hugged Bill.
"Now go clean up! We'll take care of Peyton." Bill said. I nodded with a slight smile and left the kitchen to get ready for the day.

Bill's POV
It broke my heart seeing my little sister break down like that. I know for a fact that Peyton means the world to her and the fact that Yu is threatening to take him away from her if she didn't let him see Peyton made my blood boil. I used to like him and thought he was good for Courtney but now I'm like Tom and hate him. If Tom doesn't kill him first I just might be the one to kill him. He is not taking my adorable nephew away from my sister.
"What are we going to do?" I asked Tom as Peyton got down from his seat.
"We fight this." Tom said.
"I know. But how?" I asked Tom
"Uncle Tom will you teach me some guitar?" Peyton asked interrupting our conversation.
"Sure buddy but first you have to get dressed, brush your teeth and let mommy do your hair and then I will." Tom said to Peyton giving us more time to talk.
"Okay!" Peyton said and ran off.
"If we have to go to court we will but in the mean time we should probably think of reasons why Yu is more of an unfit parent then Courtney and besides once I am done producing her bands 2nd album she'll be making more than enough to care for Peyton." Tom said
"So we just what? Play Yu at his own game?" I asked
"Exactly." Tom said with a smile.
"I hope you know what you are doing Tom." I said
"Don't you worry little brother. Everything will be fine." Tom said just then Peyton ran back into the room with his guitar that Tom had bought him, with my sister's permission of course.
"Okay little man, let's get practicing!" Tom said and was pulled to the living room by Peyton to practice guitar. I really do hope everything works out for my sister. The rest of the day went by fast with Tom and I just spending a lot of time with Courtney and Peyton before the arrival of Yu in two days. I just hope that Courtney will be okay when she sees him. One can only hope.
