Chapter 42

I was watching my brothers set from backstage. It was our last show tomorrow. I was excited to have a break but also sad. I then felt someone tug on my pants. I looked down to see Peyton rubbing his eye.
"Yes baby?" I asked.
"Mommy. I sleepy." Peyton said. I bent down and picked him up.
"Okay, mommy is going to listen to one more song and then we'll head back to the bus." I said.
"Hey Courtney, we're gonna head back to the bus."
Keegan said.
"Okay. I'll be there soon." I said and my band mates headed to the bus.
Bill then ran off stage and got changed quickly into his next costume.
"I'm gonna head back to my band's bus. Peyton fell asleep." I said.
"Okay sis! See you in the morning!" Bill said and ran back on stage. I then headed back to the bus and changed Peyton into some pajamas. I then laid him down on the bunk and noticed a piece of paper as I laid him down. I picked it up thinking it was fan letter and just set it on my desk to read after I had a shower.
"Keegan? Can you watch Peyton while I get a shower?" I asked from the hallway.
"Sure." Keegan said getting up and headed toward my bunk. I grabbed some underwear, and some
Pajamas from the drawer and headed to the shower as Keegan sat by Peyton.
After my shower I thanked Keegan and got in the bunk with Peyton and held him I fell asleep forgetting about the letter.

The next morning I got ready and let Peyton sleep and headed towards the front and made myself some toast and had some strawberries. I then got up and brushed my teeth again and then I headed towards my bunk again and saw that letter was still on the desk. I looked at Peyton still sleeping. I went over to him and shook him a bit.
"Hey Peyton, baby. Wake up." I said and shook him a bit.
"Sleepy mama." Peyton said. I sighed picked him up and he whined. I then carried him to the front of the bus.
"Lilly. Peyton is still sleeping can you watch him here for a minute?" I asked.
"Yeah is everything okay?" Lilly asked.
"Yeah. Let me know if he wakes up." I said and headed back to my bunk. I then sat at the desk where my phone and the paper was.

Hello Courtney,
You performed beautifully. I was so glad I got to see you before your last show. You're still so beautiful. I just wanted to let you know I'll see you soon. Thanks to some anger management I was able to get out of jail early. See you and my son soon!

My hands then began to shake as I screamed and tears began to flow down my face. He was there. He was at my show! He snuck into my tour bus.

"What is it?!" Jaxson said barging into the room with the rest of my band.
He then saw me shaking. He gave me a hug and I cried.
"H-how long until LA?" I asked.
"About 8 more hours? We'll be there probably around 1pm depending on how many times we stop for gas." Keegan said.
"I-I need to get on my brothers bus at the next rest stop." I said.
"Why?" Lilly asked. I then handed her the letter with shaken hands and my band looked at it as I shook.
"I'm gonna kill him!" Keegan said.
"Not if I don't do it first!" Jaxson said.
"Correction. I think that will be Tom." Sapphire said.
"How long until the next rest stop?" I asked.
"About 30 minutes." Keegan said checking his phone.
"Mommy!" I heard Peyton cry. I ran out to the front of the bus and held him.
"I'm right here baby. Let's go get you ready and then we're gonna go see Uncle Tommy and Uncle Bill." I said.
"Gusti and G too?" Peyton said since she couldn't say Georg's name.
"Yeah." said and changed him into some black jeans and a power ranger shirt and some converse.
I then picked him up and gave him some breakfast and then had him brush his teeth with a little bit of my help. I then went back to the bunk and packed us each a little bag.
"Do you want to bring anything with you on your uncles bus?" I asked.
Peyton then grabbed his favorite stuffed animal and his power ranger toys and put them in his bag.
"We're at the rest stop." Lilly said.
"Okay." I said and grabbed a Peyton and I's bags. I then grabbed the letter that had been placed back on the desk, took Peyton's hand and got off the bus and knocked on my brothers tour bus.
Georg opened the door confused.
"Courtney?"
"Hey, is it okay if Peyton and I ride with you guys the rest of the way? I need to talk to Bill and Tom. It's important." I said. I think Georg could either hear or see the worry in my eyes since he didn't say anymore and just let us in.
"Sister! What are you doing here!" Bill said and hugged me.
"Peyton why don't you go play. Here's your bear and power rangers." I said giving Peyton his toys and he ran off.
"Hey I just saw Peyton run back there and play? What's going on?" Tom asked coming over to Bill and I.
"Can we talk in private? Just the three of us?" I asked.
"Sure." Bill said.
"Georg, Gustav, can you please watch Peyton for a few minutes. I need to talk to my brothers." I said.
"No problem." Gustav said.
I then followed Tom and Bill to one of the bunks and shut the door.
"What's going on?" Bill asked and I sat down on the bed and just started crying.
"Whoa, what's wrong? What's going on?" Tom asked.
Both him and Bill sat down by me.
"I-I got t-this yesterday. I thought nothing of it, thinking it was just some crazy fan mail, but look." I said and handed it to Bill since I knew he would be a lot more calmer than Tom.
"He's out? He was there!" Bill said.
"Whats going on?" Tom asked taking the letter from Bill.
After Tom read it. I could tell he was ready to explode.
"I'm going to f****** kill him!" Tom said standing up in anger and punches the wall.
"Don't. I don't need my brother going away for murder." I said.
"I have to do something! How dare he think he can just get out and automatically try and get you back! I don't f****** care that he is Peyton's father! He is not going anywhere near you or Peyton." Tom said.
"We have to think rationally about this Tom." Bill said.
"I-I'm so scared." I said and continued to cry. Bill then hugged me.
"Tom, don't do something you'll regret." Bill said. He knew Tom would do something being blinded by anger.
"What do you expect me to do Bill! Just sit around?" Tom said.
"We'll figure it out after we perform our last show. In the mean time, we need to focus on being there for our sister and nephew. We'll tighten security, we'll check ID's, we'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe, but right now. We just have to comfort her." Bill said and Tom sighed and sat back down and hugged me. Tom then got up and left Bill and I alone.
"Everything will be okay. Tom and I will protect you." Bill said.
"I'm just so scared." I said.
"We'll get through this. Try to get some rest." Bill said and left the room and I collapsed on the bed but I couldn't sleep. Not when Yu, was out there again. Were Peyton and I ever going to be safe?
