Chapter 8

Yu's POV
I still can't believe I'm a dad. Courtney didn't even tell me. I mean I'm angry but I'm also happy because I am getting a second chance at being a father I need to do this right this time. I need to prove to Courtney I can be a good dad. Besides I still love her. The fact that she's even letting us try for a second time makes me happy.
"Here you go Yu!" Keegan said and ran off.
This can't be that hard right? I thought to myself as I looked as Peyton. He does kind of look like me.
"What we do daddy?!" Peyton said with a smile.
"What would you like to do?" I ask not knowing what to do with a 4 almost 5 year old. Peyton tapped his chin as if he was thinking.
"I know! Can you teach me guitar daddy?! Mommy can sing but she no know guitar! But you do! Please teach me?!" Peyton said excitedly.
I laughed at his excitement but agreed. I picked him up and lead him to my band's bus. Once inside he stared in awe as I say him down so I could go get my guitar. I then started to strum my guitar and Peyton was memorized.
"I try daddy!" Peyton said excitedly.
I then positioned the guitar so he could hold it. It was a little hard for him but he enjoyed it. I'll have to remember to get him a guitar his size for him to practice with. We could have dad/son lessons ever so often if Courtney let me. I sighed I really wish she had told me about him instead of breaking up with me. I would have helped. Her brothers probably hate me. Oh well.
"Peyton why don't we go visit mommy?" I asked
"Mommy!" Peyton said excitedly and I put the guitar back.
I picked Peyton up and lead him to where sound checks were. I saw Courtney and her band practicing for our next show. Well I saw her band mates but I didn't see her. I looked around saw her at a far corner on the phone. I walked over with Peyton and set him down.
"Who's she talking to?" I asked holding Peyton's hand so he wouldn't run off.
"No idea." Keegan said
"But good thing we finished before it rang." Jaxson said.
I actually had a feeling it was her mom. Hopefully her mom didn't spoil the surprise. I had asked our manager if it was okay to fly Courtney's family out for a show and he agreed. He just didn't tell me which one it was. I know I've said this already but I have a feeling her brothers hate me I just hope they were open to the idea of coming and seeing their sister perform.

Courtney's POV
"Hey Mom what's up?" I asked my mom as she called
"I wanted to see how you are sweetie. Is everything going okay with Yu and Peyton?" My mom asked
"Yeah they seem to be getting along well. Your timing is perfect actually we just got done a sound check for another LA show we are doing. We have quite a few in LA." I said
"That's wonderful dear. You certainly do take after your brothers." Mom said
"Yeah but I'm not as out there as Bill is." I said with a laugh.
"True dear. Are you performing tonight?" Mom asked.
"Yeah we are performing a 7pm show and then we have tomorrow off and then pick up the following day with another show at 8pm."I said
"That's wonderful. I miss you and Peyton." My mom said.
"We miss you too" I said into the phone
"I have to go now love. Enjoy the rest of tour. I'll see you when you get home unless you decide to move to LA with your brothers." My mom said.
"Bye mom love you." I said and hung up.
After the call I looked over to see Yu and Peyton. Peyton ran over and hugged me. I hugged him back and kissed his forehead.
"Mommy! Daddy show me his guitar! Can I get one please?!" Peyton said excitedly.
"I don't know. We'll see." I said and picked him up.
"Let's head back to the bus." I said to Peyton and kissed his forehead.
Peyton and I headed to the bus with my band mates and Yu following behind. I guess he wanted to still see Peyton. Once we got to the bus I noticed the lights were off. I opened the door, set Peyton down and turned on the lights.
"Surprise!" I heard my brothers, Georg, Gustav, Gordon and mom yell.
I also heard my brothers dogs Scotty and Pumba bark in excitement.
"Ahh!" I screamed and ran over to hug both my brothers.
"I can't believe you guys are here!" I said excitedly.
I then hugged mom.
Peyton ran over and hugged his grandma, grandpa and then his uncles. He even hugged Georg and Gustav.
"How did you? When did you?" I couldn't even form a sentence because I was so excited.
"Your welcome." I heard a voice say. I turned around and saw Yu with a smile on his face.
"You did this? For me?" I asked confused.
"Of course I know how much you've missed your family especially Peyton who I know has missed his uncles, grandpa, and grandma and I wanted to show you that I truly do want this to work out between us." Yu said. I ran over and hugged him and then kissed him.
"Thank you!" I said happily.
I spent the rest of the day with my brothers, mom, Gordon, and my brother's two dogs until it was time for the show.
