Chapter 25

Tom's POV
Yu is here for a week and it's already been three days that he has spent it with Peyton. Today is the third day and I could tell Courtney was not looking forward to Yu coming over. I get that my nephew is having a good time but Bill, Courtney and I are not. We want Yu to leave and I can tell him being around this long is hurting my sister. She has this sad look in her eyes whenever he is around. Peyton is happy to see his dad but I hate that my sister is in pain because of it.

"Hey are you okay?" I asked Courtney as she came into the kitchen.

"Yeah I'm fine." Courtney said

"You're lying." Bill who was sitting next to me drinking his coffee said.

"No I'm not." Courtney said grabbing some cereal and making a bowl. Once she sat down Courtney ate a bit but mostly played with the cereal.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Bill asked

"I'm fine Bill! Leave me alone!" Courtney yelled and got up and threw her cereal away and put her bowl in the sink.

"Where are you going?" Bill asked

"None of your business!" Courtney yelled and headed upstairs probably to get ready.

"You think she's okay?" Bill asked concerned.

"I don't know. I don't blame her for being upset I mean Yu did hurt her." I said

"I know but I hate that it's having this much of an affect on her. I mean I think she is trying to shut us out." Bill said

"I wish she would just talk to him and come to some sort of agreement." Bill said.

"You know she won't. She's stubborn like us." I said

"True." Bill said and just then Courtney came into the room with Peyton ready and in her arms.

"Hey can you watch him today?" Courtney said and set Peyton down.

"Where you going?" Bill asked

"I just can't be around Yu today." Courtney said and hugged Peyton.

"Be good for your uncles. They are in charge while mommy is out." Courtney said

"What about daddy?" Peyton asked

"No. Your uncles make the decisions." Courtney said and kissed Peyton's forehead.

Courtney got up and came over to Bill and I and gave us each a hug.

"I'll be back later. I just need to get out for a while." Courtney said.

"Alright. Here." Bill said handing Courtney some money.

"I can't." Courtney said

"Please sis. Just take it. You deserve a day to yourself. Don't worry everything will be fine. Now take the money before I pin you down and shove it in your bra." Bill said and Courtney and I both laughed.

"Alright." Courtney said and took the money from Bill and put it in her pocket.

"I'll see you later. Peyton be good for your uncles!" Courtney said and headed out.

"You think she'll be okay?" Bill asked

"I don't know." I said with a sigh and then got up from the table to get ready for the day. This was going to be a long day.
